Chapter Forty-Six ~ Happy Ending

[???'s POV]

(Y/N) sat on a rock in the Great Fairy Fountain, staring into the puddle. The same one where they saw the reflection of Elder Ulli on his funeral. "Hey, Elder Ulli...I know you aren't actually the Village Elder anymore...but I hope you don't mind." (Y/N) said. "Today's a really special day. I'm going to meet Revali soon and travel to the Gerudo Desert to meet an old friend..." Silence. They were expecting it, but...they wished Elder Ulli could talk to them. "It's been a year since we killed Ganon...and Revali and I are living...happily. We wish you were around to see us now..."

"You okay there, sweetie?" A feminine voice said. (Y/N) jumped, startled, and looked over at the flower, seeing Kaysa, leaning her cheek against her palm.

"Yeah...I guess I'm just nervous..." (Y/N) said.

"Don't worry, you and Revali were born for this, and I think the two of you are ready." Kaysa said.

"Well...Revali's really nervous. He doesn't think he'll be good enough..." They said.

"Bah, he thinks like that about everything." Kaysa said. "He probably thought that way when he first met you." Revali...of course you'll be good enough! Both you and (Y/N) can be good enough... "So, when are you meeting up with Revali?"

"I should probably get going now." (Y/N) said, looking up at the sky. "Revali wants to take Medoh."

"Good luck, (Y/N)." Kaysa said as they left the Great Fairy Fountain, walking back to the Rito Village. At the entrance, Revali was waiting for (Y/N).

"You ready for this?" Revali asked, taking their hand in his.

"Yup." (Y/N) said. "I'm ready...Are you?"

"Yeah, of course I am!" Revali said cockily, making (Y/N) giggle. Revali loved making them giggle. It was always so nice...to see them happy. The both of them would be very happy after today though. Revali flew (Y/N) up to Vah Medoh. The two were nervous, so they didn't say much on the way there.

"Do you think Urbosa would be happy to see us?" (Y/N) asked.

"Of course she will!" Revali said. "Urbosa's always happy to see me~"

"Don't flatter yourself~" (Y/N) said, elbowing him jokingly. The two sat on the edge of Vah Medoh, staring out at the sky. Revali wrapped his wings around (Y/N), keeping them warm. As the couple neared Gerudo Desert, (Y/N) picked up a bag they had left on Vah Medoh. The two took a deep breath as Medoh landed next to Vah Naboris. Revali squeezed their hand as they made their way towards Gerudo Town.

"Hey!" Urbosa flagged the two down pretty quickly. "You guys ready?" (Y/N) held up the bag and nodded. "Alright, follow me." Revali and (Y/N) followed Urbosa to a place all too familiar. "So, did you guys hear about the news?"

"What news?" Revali asked.

"Lady Rosut...is getting married." Urbosa said.

"That's amazing!" (Y/N) said.

"The Hylian man only proposed yesterday, so I wasn't really expecting you to know, but I just thought I'd tell you, since you'll both be getting invitations pretty soon." Urbosa said. Lady Rosut was getting married! I wish I had an invitation...

Urbosa stopped (Y/N) and Revali just outside the Yiga Clan hideout. "He should be here soon-" (Y/N) started, then looked at Revali. He was pacing nervously, muttering to himself.

"What if he doesn't like me? What if he never will? What if I screw up? What if-" Revali mumbled, but (Y/N) stopped him.

"Revali, you're going to be absolutely amazing." They said, kissing his beak. "Remember, you're the Rito Champion. We killed Ganon together, I'm sure we can handle this."
