[Your POV]
Much like in the game, if I just set food next to the fire, it cooks pretty quickly after it literally catches fire. I had managed to find a good sized cave to hide in. It was too small for any guardians or larger enemies to enter, and it was also big enough for Revali and I to hide in. The cave wasn't too far from where we encountered the guardian. Because Revali was unconscious, and still is, I had to carry him to the cave. I never would've guessed he'd have been so heavy. The fact that his feathers had been soaking wet didn't help.
After finding and leaving Revali in the cave, I went scavenging for food. I ended up finding a ton of plants and even some of those hot pepper thingys. Starting a fire back in the cave, I thought about taking my shirt off, seeing as it was soaking wet and I would probably get sick. Plus, my wound from the guardian was bleeding all over it.
After settling in front of the fire, I decided to take my shirt off. It was a good thing I was wearing an undershirt. If Revali were to wake up and see my (bra/chest/whatever your undergarment for your chest is), he'd probably freak out. Then again, he'd probably freak out just seeing me, a human, someone he didn't know. But...he had saved me from that guardian.
It was hard to focus on cooking food, since my eyes were constantly being drawn back to Revali. I mean, it's not like I can just...NOT look at him. This was THE Revali that lay unconscious just a few feet away from me! The Rito Champion! Rider of Vah Medoh! And...and...
"How are you alive?" I mumbled as I stared at Revali. My shirt lay down by the fire, drying off. The food was cooked. Honestly...I didn't feel like eating. "I don't need food...I need answers." I whispered to Revali. I huddled my knees against my chest, trying to contain as much warmth as I could.
My eyes darted to the entrance of the cave. The sun was going down. Soon, monsters would run rampant. Monsters...at night...running around. The thought made me think of that night I had played Minecraft with Victor, Clarista, and Piripi. If I was able to get back home, they were going to be the only reason. I'm not going back for my parents, Gabe, or anyone else!
A tear slipped down my cheek, but I didn't touch it. "What's wrong with you?" A voice said. The sudden noise caused me to jump, almost losing my balance and fall to the cave floor. My eyes landed on Revali, who was now sitting up. He held his wing to his chest, looking me up and down.
"R-Revali...?" I quickly wiped my face free of tears.
"...Yeah?" He said, sounding a bit awkward. I felt happiness suddenly surge through my chest.
"Y-You're the real Revali!" I exclaimed, getting on my feet.
"Um..." Revali mumbled.
"I'm s-sorry!" I stuttered. "This is still just so hard to believe! Even though you've been lying there for a few hours, and you saved me from that guardian and stuff, but you're...awake! And talking to ME!" I started bouncing up and down in excitement. It seemed most traces of sadness were gone. Then I looked at his wing, huddled to his chest. "Oh yeah! Your wing!" I hurried to his side and began inspecting it. "I think you may have damaged it in your fight with the guardian."
He suddenly pulled his wing away from me. "W-What are you- AGH!" He cried as pain shot through his wing. He immediately retracted it to his chest. "...I need to get out of here." He stood up with struggle.
"W-Wait! You can't!" I cried, attempting to block his way. "You'll hurt yourself even more!"
"Out of my way." Revali said, pushing past me. "I need to get back to the Rito Village."
"No wait!" I shouted as he spread his wings and flew out of the cave. I gasped and ran out of the cave mouth just in time to see Revali crash to the ground. "Revali!" I rushed to his side, helping his to his feet.
