My eyes fluttered open to see the sun shining through the curtains in the room that my boyfriend, Jack, and I share.
I rolled over in bed, expecting to see my gorgeous boyfriend, but he wasn't there.
My eyebrows furrowed together. Where is he?
I looked over to see that the bathroom door was open and the lights were off, so he wasn't in the bathroom.
I threw the covers off myself and jumped out of bed, walking out of our room.
I walked to every single room in our shared apartment, but he was nowhere to be found.
I picked up my phone, seeing that there were no text messages from him.
I shot him a text asking where he was, but he didn't answer.
I called his phone, but he didn't pick up.
I started to panic, where could he be? He wouldn't just leave and not tell me where he is.
I started freaking out, tears coming to my eyes.
I couldn't lose him, what if something terrible happened to him?
A good ten minutes passed and I still hadn't heard anything from him.
By now, I was curled up on the kitchen floor, bawling my eyes out.
I heard a noise outside the door and then the doorknob started to twist.
I grabbed the biggest kitchen knife we own and backed up against the wall, scared to death.
The door burst open and I yelped, raising the knife in the air.
I let out a huge breath of relief, seeing that it was just Jack at the door.
"Babe, why do you have a knife and why are you crying?" He asked, a look of concern washing over his face.
"What happened? Baby, talk to me!" He said, dropping whatever he was holding on the counter and walking towards me.
I dropped the kitchen knife, causing a loud flattering sound.
Jack wrapped his arms around as I cried on his shoulder.
"W-where were y-you? I was s-scared to death, I-I thought something happened to you!" I cried, holding onto him as tight as possible.
"Babe, I went to get coffee. I'm fine, it's okay, I'm right here," He comforted, hugging me tight.
"Why didn't you answer your phone?" I asked, still crying.
"I was driving babe, I couldn't, but I'm okay, you're okay, everything's okay. Calm down, I'm right here," He soothed.
"Don't scare me like that," I scolded, slapping his arm.
"Okay, okay, sorry," he laughed.
"I love you," I breathed, looking into his eyes.
"I love you too," he replied, kissing my nose.
