𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝗼𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐢𝗺𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬

𝕝𝕠𝕟𝕘 𝕨𝕒𝕪 𝕙𝕠𝕞𝕖 ♫ 𝕕𝕒𝕟𝕚𝕖𝕝 𝕤𝕖𝕒𝕧𝕖𝕪

It was a cool summer night and Daniel was driving me home from our date.
I had rolled down the windows and the top of Daniel's car and stuck my head out, letting the wind rip through my hair.
Our date was nice, we went to our old elementary school yard and he played his guitar for me while we watched the sun set.
I reached forward and turned on the radio, a 5 Seconds of Summer song playing.
I looked over at Daniel and he looked peaceful. He had a small smile on his lips and his eyes were glistening, he was happy.
I smiled too, loving the fact that he was happy.
We pulled up to an intersection, but instead of going left, which is the way to my house, Daniel made a right.
I looked over, him not seeming to notice he went the wrong way.
"Babe, my house is the other way," I informed.
"Yeah, I know. I don't wanna be wasting my time alone, though, so we're taking the long way home," he smiled, reaching over so I could take his hand.
I smiled, grabbing his hand and intertwining our fingers.
I looked up at the starts, feeling the happiest i've ever been.
This night was so perfect.
As we drove, Daniel made sure to hit every red light and take forever at stop signs, just so he could lean over and kiss me.
We had stopped at yet another stop sign and Daniel stopped, leaning over the center console to kiss me.
He kissed me softly, and it was a perfect kiss, until a bright light flashed on and off at us and a horn beeped.
we broke apart, seeing someone behind us turning their high beams on and off and honking their horn.
We burst out laughing as Daniel stepped on the gas, driving away.
We drove around for a while more, taking it slow.
Our journey eventually came to an end and we arrived back at my house, all the lights off signaling my family was asleep.
Daniel kissed me goodnight about 12 times before he finally unlocked his car so i could get out.
I turned around, facing Daniel.
"We should take the long way home more often, it's fun," I said.
"Definitely," he replied.
"Goodnight, Daniel," I said.
"Goodnight, my love,"
