i love pranking people.
i've been a prankster since i've been a little kid. people never expect my pranks and they always work.
my boyfriend, daniel, was out with his friends at the moment, so i decided today would be a good day for a prank.
i decided to pretend that i'm pregnant. i don't think the prank is too far, nobody has ever been offended by them. plus, neither of us want a kid right now, so he'll be relieved to know it's a prank.
one of my close friends is actually pregnant, so i asked her to help me out with getting a positive pregnancy test. of course we sanitized it and everything, that would be very gross if we didn't.
i waited at home with the tea for daniel, a camera hidden somewhat behind a picture frame.
about fifteen minutes passed before daniel came home.
he waltzed through the door, a cute little smile on his face.
"hey, baby, come here," i said, waving him over.
he walked over and sat down on the couch. he walked right past the video camera, but he didn't notice it, which was good.
"i have to tell you something really important," i said, sounding fake stressed.
he reached forward and rubbed my leg, his eyes searching my face.
"please don't be mad..." i trailed off, grabbing into his soft hand.
"why would i be mad? i love you," he said.
"daniel...um...i'm pregnant," i said, handing him the pregnancy test.
his eyes immediately widened as his grip on my hand tightened.
"no way...really?" he asked, his eyes filled with happiness.
"yeah, we're having a baby," i said, surprised by his reaction.
i thought he would be upset or mad. i thought he wouldn't want a kid.
"oh my god, yes!" he practically screamed.
he picked me up and kissed all over my face, making me feel a little bit bad. i didn't expect him to be excited, i thought he would be mad.
how am i supposed to tell him this is fake.
he quickly sensed something was wrong and set me down.
"what's wrong?" he asked, his thumb rubbing the back of my hand.
"oh..um, nothing. i..i thought you were gonna be mad," i said.
"of course not! i get to raise a child with the love of my life, i couldn't be happier!" he cheered.
"oh, shit," i said.
"huh?"
i sadly walked over and grabbed the recording camera, waving it around.
"i was kidding. it was gonna be a youtube video. i thought you would be mad," i slowly said, deathly afraid of his reaction.
"w-what?" he asked, stunned.
"i'm not pregnant, daniel."
his face dropped and he dropped the test.
"it was never meant to go this far. i swear. it was just supposed to be a funny prank," i rushed out.
his head shook back and forth and his lip started to quiver.
"are you going to cry now?" i asked, watching his lips quiver as he took in shaky breaths.
a tear slid down his cheek as he stared at me sadly.
"please don't cry," i said, then rushed to his side to give him a hug.
he hugged me like i was his teddy bear, trying to find comfort.
"why would you do that?" he cried, looking up at me.
"it was supposed to be funny," i said.
"well, if wasn't. i was so excited. i thought we were really having a baby. this is so upsetting," he choked on his words.
"fuck, daniel, i didn't mean for this to happen like this. and hey, baby, if you really want, we can actually start a family?" i suggested.
he looked up, allowing me to kiss the few tears on his cheeks.
"you really want to?" be asked, hopeful.
"of course. if you're ready to have a baby, then let's do it. let's make a kid," i said.
he pulled me to our room and laid down on top of me, his lips connecting with mine.
"tonight's gonna be fun," he whispered, lightly biting my lip.
"hmm," i replied.
"this is gonna be one cute lookin baby. i mean, look at me, i'm so fucking hot," he said.
"can you just fuck off already," i said pushing on his chest playfully.
"i can fuck you," he shrugged.
"shut the hell up and kiss me."
