Lacrosse has Hot Boys!!

Chapter 2, Hot New Boy?

I walked into math class and sat next to my best friend Lilly. Lilly had her math book open and trying to cram her homework in before class started. 

"Hey Lilly!!"

"Hi Kara, how are you today?" Lilly asked. 

"I'm alright, just had Chase "hit on me" again."

"You should really play along one day just to throw him off."

"Yeah i should. Next time." i laughed before the teacher walked in. She did row call and started class. The bell rang and Lilly and I headed towards our next classes. We have all of our 5 classes together which is so awesome. The day passes on and we reach fifth period which is PE. Lilly and I walk out in our short spandex shorts and a fitting t-shirt. Today we are doing the mile run with a partner. Basically the coach partners you up with someone and both of us have to run together for the mile.

"Lets see here, I want Aidan Boaror with Kirsten Wells! Zac Smith with Riley Thompson!" Mr. Bomps yelled. Mr. Bomps also known as Mr. B yelled out who was partnered with whoever. "Lilly May with Derek Vase!" Lilly cheered quietly. Lilly really likes Derek, and is happy now that she's partnered with him.  "And lastly Kara Davis with Shawn Taylor!" I smiled at Shawn as i walked over to him. He was really cute with short black hair and a muscular body. 

"Hey i'm Shawn" he said holding his hand out to shake my hand.

"I'm Kara"

We wait for Mr. B to tell us to go and then we are off. Shawn and i run side by side of each other doing a light jog. I didn't realize how cute he was. He was just a bit taller than me, maybe 5 foot 10. He had dark brown eyes and a little bit of facial hair trying to grow in. I was so amazed at looking at him, i didn't realize he said something.

"Kara? I said do you like to do any sports?" 

"Oh, I don't play any sports, but i like to watch lacrosse. What about you?"

"Maybe that's a good thing you like lacrosse, because that is my favorite sport to play"

"Really? I don't think I've seen you on the lacrosse team before?" i asked with a puzzling look.

"Ha ha, that's cause i just moved here a few months ago." he said.

"Aww. Where did you move from?"

"I moved here from Washington. My parents divorced and my dad and i moved here to start all over."

"I'm sorry, but do you like here in Oregon?"

"Yeah, I do. Has some really nice people." he said smiling at me. I blushed at him and then he winked at me. I couldn't believe that this cute guy was talking to me and not even my brothers interrupted it. But maybe that was a good thing. 

"Hey, we only have half a lap left and we're done!!" I said yelling out with my fist to the air. Shawn laughed with me. "Lets race the rest of the way!" "Fine!" and then we were off. Shawn beated me by only a few inches but it was a tight race when we rounded the corner. 

Breathing heavily, I feel a hand on my back patting it. I look up to see that it is Shawn's hand on my back. 

"That...was a...good race.." i said between breaths.

"Yeah, it was. So what do i get for winning?" he said with a smirk on his face.

I looked at him for a moment and then said "You can get a hug?"

"What about a kiss?" he said.

I stood up and looked at him before planting a kiss on his cheek as i walked away. I looked back to see him smiling and winking at me before he heads towards the guys locker room.  Inside the girls locker room Lilly was telling me about how Derek held her hand the last lap of the mile. Lilly was so excited about today that she just kept squealing about it.
