SHAWN'S POV
Friday night before bed, i though of a way to ask out Kara. So today on Saturday i was going to take her out for a good time and ask. I put on a pair of jeans and a blazer t-shirt. I then grabbed my cell phone and texted her.
Me: Morning :)
Kara: Good morning, whats up?
Me: Oh just thinking about a pretty girl and wondering if she would like to hang out today?
Kara: I think i would like that. What time?
Me: how about noon? where something nice.
Kara: Nice? Ok see you at noon then. :)
I close my phone and start getting everything ready in two hours. I pull in to her driveway and knock on her front door. Kara opens the door and i see that she is wearing a pair of capris and a green tank with a hoodie over it. She looked so beautiful that i couldn't take my eyes off her.
"Wow, you look great."
"Thanks, you ready to go?" she spoke with a smile on her face.
"Yeah lets go."
We drove for a little bit to a park in the city. I grabbed a picnic basket out of the back and walk with her to the middle of the field. I laid down a blanket upon the grass then the picnic basket on top. Kara sat down on the blanket with her legs positioned to the side of her together. I sat down and grabbed two peanut butter sandwiches out, potato salad, apple turnovers, and two water bottles of pink lemonade. Her smile grew on her face as she saw me pull out apple turnovers.
"How did you know that i liked apple turnovers?" She said smiling at me. She grabbed a turnover and placed into her mouth waiting for me to answer her.
"Oh, I just figured you it out one day." I said with a smirk. Placing a turnover into my mouth.
"Come on, tell me?"
"Okay, I looked at you lunch box one day and saw them." I declared.
"Ha ha, Thought so. You had me going though." Kara said grabbing for another one.
"Hm. Well would you like a sandwich?" I asked holding out the pbj sandwich.
"I think i will." Kara replied snatching it from my hand. We ate our food and spoke about random things like school, family, friends. I was having a great time and i could tell from the smiling growing on her face. I just knew i had to ask her out but i was having some trouble to just to figure out what to say.
We packed up out stuff and shoved it into the car. We paced ourselves around the park and saw little baby duckies.
"We should snatch a baby duck." I said walking towards them.
"But what about the mama duck. She'll attack you." worrying about me.
"Don't worry we'll just make a run for it." I said. A few attempt here and there, and we were not able to even attain close to one. As we lay down on the grass looking at clouds, I just had to say it.
"Kara? Can i ask you something?" I said placing my hand on hers.
"Yeah?" I sat up and looked into her eyes.
"Ever since the day i saw you in PE you were the most prettiest girl i have ever saw. You were funny, sweet, and caring in so many ways. Not a lot of guys deserve you." She looked at me following me on what i was saying.
"I was wondering, would you like to be my girlfriend?" I asked holding on to her hand and our eyes locked on each other.
"Yes!! I would love to!" she said throwing her arms around my neck to hug me.
KARA'S POV
Thereafter our date Shawn drove me home. As soon as i entered my house i ran upstairs and texted Lilly about our date. She texted a few minutes later congratulating me. I turned on Nikki Minaj and danced around my bedroom excited that I, Kara Lee Carson has a boyfriend. I just hope my brother's don't mind. Or hopefully they won't find out.
