Chapter 9, That is a Deal!

Shawn presses his lips against mine. Our kiss felt like fireworks went off or that it was just so magical that it was even happening. We lay there on the floor kissing till we hear someone clear their throat, I look up to see my brother colton staring at us. I quickly push myself off of him and stand up. 

"I see that you guys are getting comfortable with each other now." Colton said leaning against my door frame.

"Yeah, just like friends." I stutter out. I look at Shawn and on his face was just nerves coming out.

"K. I don't want you guys to make out in front of me or anything between you two.Nothing should be going on between you guys." Colton said walking out of my room. I take a deep breath and so does Shawn. We look at each other and smile for a moment before going downstairs to watch a movie. That kiss was just unbelievable.

A little while later, I say goodbye to shawn as he has to go home. I walk him to his car and say good bye to eachother. Before he gets in he leans down and kisses me on the lips again. He climbs into his car and drives off. I run inside and jump on my bed full of glee that a guy i like actually kissed me. I wonder if he would ask me out!!

"Kara?" I look up to see colton and Landon looking through my door at me. "We need to talk."

They came in and each one sat next to me. "Kara, We can tell that you like Shawn a lot. We feel that after what happened on Friday that you shouldn't date someone for awhile. You don't even know what Shawn can do to you if we are not around." Colton said.

"But guys shawn is really sweet and cares about me!!" I said getting defensive.

"No he isn't. He's a GUY!! A guy Kara, some dude that wants to get into your pants!!" Landon said trying to get it through to me.

"Yes he's a guy so are you two!! Come on you guys, He saved me from chase on Friday. and even brought me to you guys right afterwards." I said. You could just see them think about it but it still wasn't enough.

"We don't care Kara! You are not dating him!!" Both of them stood up yelling at me. They finished what they were saying and left me in my room. As soon as they left, i laid down on my bed and began to cry into my pillow. They don't know what they are talking about. Shawn does care about me. I just know he does. Why would he have saved me? Kissed me? Twice? He's just to sweet for that.

 The next day at school my brothers were at my side the whole time or Ryan was next to me. They did not want Shawn to talk to me at all. The day passes and soon it's after school, I'm standing at my locker putting my books in my locker while Landon is talking to me.

"Kara. I want you to wait in my car while we are at practice. I don't want you to leave the car at all! You got that?!" Landon said. I confirm him by nodding my head up and down.

"Good." He said. Landon walked me to his car and left me there while he and colton went to practice. 

SHAWN'S POV

At practice i didn't see Kara anywhere. I haven't really been able to see her all day since her brothers were walking her to her classes. I guess they don't like me right now. I didn't do anything to her but i guess when you kiss their sister that has something to do with it. The coach blew his whistle and everyone came in. The coach had us do a few drills and run across the field for our practice. During the drills i would look for Kara but Colton would smack me in the helmet with his stick. I knew it was futile so i just waited till after practice to talk to them. 

After practice, I walk over to Colton and Landon to ask them about Kara.

"Hey guys, Whats up? i asked

"Just taking off gear dude." Colton said, while Landon was waiting for my real question.

"Um. I was just wondering if you guys are mad at me or something? I wouldn't let me talk to kara at all today?" I asked. 

"Yeah dude, we don't want you to talk to our baby sister. She doesn't need a guy getting her in to trouble and what not. After Friday, we don't want that to happen again." Landon spoke.

"Okay? But i would never hurt kara ever. She is to sweet and beautiful for that." Trying to convince them otherwise. I really wouldn't hurt her.

"Shawn, you seem like a nice guy, but i can't trust you right now. Not when we have a game coming up this Friday." Colton said standing up.

"Guys, what can i prove to be with her?" I asked. I really want to be with her.

"K. How bout this? If we win our game this Friday, You have my permission to ask out Kara. But if we lose, then no you can't be with her." Landon said holding his hand out for me to shake it.

"Deal!" I said shanking his hand to confirm it. I don't know if he has faith in me about this or that he just wants his baby sister to be happy.
