Austin's POV
I return to my dorm after being released from my classes for the day. I am just about to open my dorm room door when I see something in front of the door, and as I pick it up I see that it is a bag filled with all my favorite candies with a note attached to it. "Roses are red, Violets are blue. The best part of my day is and always will be you." I read the note and see that it is from my secret admirer that has been giving all sort of stuff as of late. I shrug my shoulders before wandering inside my dorm room, and when I close the door I see the devil himself sitting on my kitchen table,
"What do you want Logan?" I ask in an annoyed tone of voice as I sling my bag off my shoulder and onto the table next to Logan, "We need to finish what we were talking about last night." I roll my eyes as I walk into the kitchen and grab a cup from the cabinet, "There is nothing we really need to talk about Logan, you are blackmailing me into breaking up two people just because you think that slutty Cassidy is your true love." I snap at him rummaging through my tea collection and grab a K-cup of Lipton unsweetened iced tea and put it in the Keurig.
"WATCH YOUR MOUTH BLACK! DON'T FORGET THAT I OWN YOU!" Logan yells as he jumps off the table and gets in my face, "Unless you want all of campus to know that you are gay and what's even more pathetic is that you are in love with Garrett Huntsman."I just stare into Logan's as wondering how someone could be so evil and twisted. "If you want to date Cassidy, then why don't you talk to her." I say turning around grabbing my cup of tea, "Because she is with Garrett, and Garrett seems to be in love with her." I know that is just is an excuse because Logan couldn't think of a really answer. I move around Logan before walking into the living room and sitting down on the couch.
"If you think that you can just ignore me and I will just go away then let me remind you of all the hell I put you through in middle school." Logan hisses in my ear behind me, "I remember Logan, I remember very well." I sigh as those memories come flooding back into my brain. "Now just think of what I could do now that we are on an open campus." He whispers slithering around to my other ear. I let out a huge breath before turning around to look at him, "If I do this, then you give me your word as a member of the Alpha Delta Fraternity that you won't tell anyone my secret." Logan smiles that creepy smile as he holds out his hand tome,
"I give you my word as a member of Alpha Delta Fraternity." I know that I am making a deal with the devil but my grandma always said that sometimes you need to dance with the devil in order to get where you are meant to be. I reluctantly shake Logan's hand. "You have until the end of the semester, but if I were you I would try to break them up before then." Logan grabs me by the back of my collared shirt, "I am a very impatient man, and I don't like waiting around." The look into his eyes once again but our conversation is once interrupted by the arrival of Jonathan and Katie. They both look at Logan and I before Jonathan storms over to Logan and grabs him and tosses him to the ground.
"GET OUT OF HERE PRICE! YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS HERE, AND NOW YOU CAN EITHER LEAVE ON YOUR OWN TWO FEET OR I WILL THROW YOU OUT WITH THE REST OF THE TRASH!" Jonathan roars getting into his older brother mode. Logan looks up at him with evil in his eyes and I have to say that when it comes to Jonathan against Logan, my money is on Jonathan all the way. Logan gets back to the feet and brushes himself all. "Do they know?" Logan asks looking at me before looking at Jonathan and Katie. I shake my head as a look of confusion comes across the faces of both Katie and Jonathan. "No one but you and I, and I want to keep it that way."Logan just smiles and slightly inclines his head,
"What is going on here? What are you two talking about?" Katie asks looking between Logan and me. "It is nothing Boo, just leave it alone." Katie sits down next tome and looks me in my eyes, "Your shaking Boo, and I can only assume that Logan is the reason." I don't say anything knowing that I need to figure out a way to keep my secret to myself without incriminating Logan even if Logan is blackmailing me to do his dirty work. "It is nothing you anyone to worry about because I am handling it, and when the time is right I will tell the both of you." Katie just smiles at me but I know she knows me well enough to know that there is much more to this then I am telling. "I think it is time that you left Logan." Jonathan growls as he pushes Logan towards the door and out the door before slamming it shut.
"Would like tell Jonathan and I what is really going on? I mean you have to admit Boothings have been getting really strange with you as of late." I nod my head knowing that as my best friend I owed her the truth, but I am not ready for anyone to know the whole truth. "You know you can tell us anything, nothing in this world could change our friendship." Katie places her hand over mine and I feel safety with her and Jonathan. "The reason I have been acting so weird lately is because I have been tutoring another student and he is a little embarrassed about needing a tutor, and that is why I am gone at all hours of the day and sometimes nights." I know that it is not the complete truth but it isn't a complete lie either.
"Now was that so hard?" Katie hugs me before letting me go and going into her room, "We are a family Austin, we look for each other." Jonathan says giving me a quick hug before following Katie into her room. I sit there on the couch feeling sick to my stomach that I am lying to two of the most important people in my life, but on the other hand I don't think anyone would understand what I am going through, not even my best friends.
