Chapter 13

Austin's POV

I make it to my dorm room but right before I walk inside I see a notetaped on the door. "What is this?" I ask myself out loud as I gently take thenote off the door and open it. "Austin, this might be awkward but I like you."I read the words out loud and I look at the note puzzled wondering who couldhave sent this to me, maybe it was a different Austin and they got the wrongdorm room. I shrug and place the note on my book before walking into the dormroom. As I walk inside the first thing I see is a shirtless Gus in Katie's bed withjust a white sheet covering his lower body, one of his arms behind his head,and his hair looks messy. "I am going to take a wild guess here and say thatyou are completely naked under that sheet." Gus smiles as he jokingly startslifting up the sheet. "You want to find out?" I quickly cover my eyes with asmirk on my face.

"I don't need to see that, but I would appreciateif one of you would text me to warn me about this." I hear Gus laugh as I walktowards the kitchen. "We would have texted you but our hands were a little busy,if you know what I mean." I shake the feeling of my skin crawling away as Iopen the top cabinet and start rummaging through my tea collection. "Didn't needto know that Jon." I say getting him to laugh again. The sound of the bathroomdoor opening catches my attention and I see Katie walk out. Her hair is in a curledponytail, she is wearing a sexy backless sliver glitter sequins mini dress anda pair of sliver high heels to match. "Working the corner again tonight I see."I joke which gets Katie to sneer at me giving me a fake laugh. "You're sofunny, but if you must know I am dressed like this because Alpha DeltaFraternity is having another party tonight." I roll my eyes grabbing one of mylemon herbal tea K-cups, "They have a party every night, so please explain tome why tonight is big deal?" I say putting my K-cup in the kierych that I gotlast year for Christmas from my mom and dad. 

"They do not throw a party every night, it justseems like it to you because you spend all your time with your nose in a bookor focusing on academics." I can hear the teasing tone in her voice which is becauseKatie always teases me that I am spending what is supposed to be the best timeof my life in my dorm being a good little boy instead of living life andraising as much hell as I can before college is over. "I have my hobbies and youcertainly have yours." I smile at her nodding my head towards her bedroom. "Virginsin glass houses shouldn't throw stones." He response to me knowing that I amtalking about without me saying a word.

"You're only saying that because you lost your virginityto Jonathan inside the boy's locker room junior year of high school." Katielooks at me with a surprised but an amusing look on her face. "You wouldn't bethis cranky if you got laid from time to time." Katie and I both start laughingbecause to normal people it would seem like we are fighting or just hate eachother but the truth is that Katie and I tease each other to no end because weare best friends and it is just how our friendship works. Jonathan comes intothe kitchen giving Katie a passionate kiss. Jonathan's hair is now spiked likeusual, and he is now wearing a one shoulder rompers without a shirt underneathwith black wingtip boots. "Nice to see what Old MacDonald would look like if hewas real." I say taking a drink of tea with a smile on my face as Jonathan andKatie laugh. 

"Good one Austin, but I think I put that oldfarmer to shame." Jonathan says flexing his muscles at me. "You should come outwith us Boo." Katie says wrapping her arms around Jonathan. "No way, last nightwasn't exactly fun for me, I am spending my night getting much needed homeworkdone, and hopefully I get in a little studying too." Jonathan just scoffs asKatie throws something onto the kitchen table. "This came for you today." Ilook at the package unsure of what it could be until I read the information. "Oh,this must be my George R. R Martin book collection I ordered." Katie walks offinto her room leaving Jonathan and I in the kitchen, "You mean the books that inspiredmy favorite TV series of all the time Game of Thrones?" I nod my head as Istart opening the package.

"I started reading them in high school but theyare so long that I never really finished them all, but I have read most ofthem." Jonathan looks at me with that uninterested look on his face. "You canread the books and I will stick with watching the series." Katie comes back outand looks at me with pleading eyes. "Please come out with us, you will have amuch better time than last night I promise." I set my new books down on thetable. "I have a full night ahead of me, especially now that I have these newbooks to read." Katie sighs giving up as Jonathan and her head for the door. "Don'tknow what time we will be back but far warning you might want to wear your noisecancelling headphones to bed tonight." I wave the two of them off as they walkout closing the dorm room door behind them.

"Alone at last." I say grabbing my books and my tea as I head upstairs to my room to do what I like to do on a typical night, unless there is something on my DVR but I am already caught up on my all my regular shows. I place my tea on the windowsill and I make myself comfy on the window seat and start getting lost in the world of fantasy.
