*A few days later, I know I said this was in February, but I'm changing it to fit the story better*

Something's up with Alexandria, and I need to know what. I know that I've only known her for a few days, but she is already like a little sister to me; to all of us, so its hurts me to see her hurting. It's like if Lauren, Amy, or Dani was hurting or struggling with something. Not that Alexandria is, but I have my suspicions.

First off, it's been pretty warm this week- for September- but she's been wearing all long sleeves and pants. Second off, I don't think I've seen her eat since like the first night or something. She's been playing it off as her being too fazed by the crash, but you'd think she'd be hungry. Third off, she hasn't really left her room since she left Lauren's room the morning after the crash. The only reason she will is if we need her or make her. It's not like she resists, but she won't willingly leave either. So you can see why I'm worried. I decide to go talk to her straight up. And bring her food.

I grab a protein bar, then walk up to her door. I look down at the bar and take a deep breath, then raise my hand to the door to knock. However, before I knock, I hear what sounds like crying. I listen and realize that Alexandria is either in the bathroom crying or crying really softly in her bedroom. I knock on the door: no response. I knock again, a bit more forcefully: still no response. I kock one last time to get no response. I get determined, so I just decide to enter. God, I hope she's not like naked or anything. Boy, would that be traumatizing for her.

I try the handle to find the door unlocked, so I slowly open it and see no one in the room. However, the bathroom door is closed, and I hear noise coming from it. There's no more talking, but I do hear her talking. I listen for a second to what she is saying, then realize she's talking to herself.

"...Yeah, they'll be disappointed, but only if they find out. And you will. Not. Say. A word. Got that? Don't be an idiot, Alexandria, they don't care. They don't want to deal with this side of you, they only want your happy, good side. Which means stop resisting this. Get it over with and get out of your room before one or more of them start to worry..."

What is she talking about? I know she's talking about us from the one or more thing and the leaving her room thing, but what does the rest mean? Get what over with? I start to get more panicked, so without thinking, I- a bit too forcefully- knock on the door. I hear her squeal, then something that sounds metallic hitting the floor or the counter. She was probably shaving, but I scared her and she dropped it.

Razors aren't metallic... At least not hers. You helped her unpack, remember? I shake my head then speak up.

"Are you okay? I thought I heard crying, but you didn't answer when I knocked on your door." I say to her through the door. After a second the door opens, and a slightly red-eyed Alexandria walks out.

"Yeah, I'm good."

"Are you sure? You don't look 'good.' I'm here to talk if you need anything," I suggest. She shrugs then looks down my hand. I realize I'm white-knuckling the protein bar, so I release my grip a bit then hold it out to her.

"I figured you were hungry, you haven't eaten in a while." She smiles and takes the bar, nodding, but I notice she just sets it to the side.

"So what do you need?" She asks.

"Nothing, I just wanted to make sure you were okay." Her smile falters for a moment, then comes back, strong as ever.

"Yep, I'm doing great! I was just leaving to see if anyone would be willing to go with me or take me to the mall. I think I'll be able to ride in a car again, finally."

"Ooh, I'll go!" I quickly jump at the opportunity to get to know her- and her possible issues-  better. "I'll ask Lauren and Dani if they wana come too."

"Okay!" She seems enthusiastic, so we walk out to the hall, as she shuts her door, I start yelling.

"LAUREN, DANI, ALEXANDRIA AND I ARE GOING TO THE MALL, DO YOU WANNA GO?" Both of them come running.

"Yes!" Lauren answers for them.

"Keep it down up there!" Christina yells up at us.

"Sorry!" Dani yells back. We quickly make our way to my car and get in. Laur and I in the front, the younger two in the back. As I crank the car, I notice Alexandria grabs Dani's hand and holds on. Tight. I also see her pull off her seatbelt to make sure it's secure.

"Alexandria, are you sure you're gonna be okay?" I ask.

"Yeah, I'll be fine," She says, more reassuring herself than me. I nod and put the car into reverse and start backing up. As I'm looking behind us, I see Dani comforting the girl. She's rubbing Alexandria's back, reassuring her softly, and holding her hand. Alexandria is white as a ghost, but I also understand the need to get out of the house.

We reach the rod and I back out into it. In the corner of my eye, I see Alexandria go stiff, but Lauren too. I guess she's just scared after hearing the story, or maybe she's scared for Alexandria. I finish backing out and put the car in drive. Then angle my head backward, but not enough so that I can't see the road.

"Here we go..."
