Kathrine's POV

"...and she refused the cookie..." I'm in Lisa's room talking to her about Alexandria, seeing as how she didn't get to meet her.

"But why is that a bad thing? Maybe she just doesn't like cookies? Like me."

"Maybe... But she also refused dinner. maybe she ate breakfast, but it would've been really early, and she didn't eat lunch either." Lisa sits there for a moment before responding.

"Let's wait and see how she handles the rest of this month and next month before we go on tour. We have to record her song and parts in Sad Girls Club and teach her a few other things. That should give us a while to see what's going on and if she does have a problem- which I doubt, but isn't impossible- confront her."

"But-"

"Kath, I understand your concern and admire the fact you already care so much for her but don't jump to conclusions. Are you sure that you aren't projecting your worries about me or yourself even, onto her?"

"I... Fine, but I hope you're right." I get up and walk towards the door. I turn around and lock eyes with her, "For both of you guys' sake." I turn around and walk out, shutting the door behind me. Well, maybe I slammed it a bit. Or a lot. But I mean, I was mad. I don't know, I've just got this pit in my stomach, maybe it's just nerves or the fact that we don't really know Alexandria's true personality yet and she might be a jerk, but she seemed really nice and I've performed enough times that I get excited, but not nervous. I'm not paying attention as I'm walking into the kitchen, and run into Christina coming out of Alexandria's temporary room.

"I'm sorry! Are you okay?" She says and comes over to where I got knocked down and on the floor.

"Yeah," I respond and stand up, ignoring her hand. I start to walk away, but she grabs my wrist and spins me to face her.

"Are you sure...?" She says carefully, scanning my face for an answer. I smile a bit and soften my look.

"Yeah, Lisa was just being frustrating." She lets go and quietly sighs in relief and smiles.

"Oh."

"Yeah," I say, then quickly change the subject, "Why were you in her room for so long?" I nod towards the door.

"I- Here wait let's go into our room so we don't have to whisper. She's sleeping." She takes one last look at the door, then starts walking down the hall. I follow behind her and we sit on her bed. She sits in the top corner against the pillows on the wall with her legs out in front of her, and I sit in the middle facing her with my legs crossed.

"Ok, so after we made contact with you and the cookies," I look at her wondering if she is gonna say anything about that, but she doesn't, "we didn't meet anyone else and went straight to her room. She immediately climbed into bed, but right as I was about to leave, she asked if I would stay until she fell asleep. I rubbed her back and hummed until she fell asleep, then stayed and made sure she was asleep before leaving."

"Oh, that makes more sense."

"Yep." Then we both sit there in awkward silence. she is playing with the hem of her shirt, and I look at her, wondering if she'll say anything about what I'm thinking. I would mention it to her, but Lisa's made me feel dumb for worrying, so I don't want her to have the same reaction. After a minute I get up and force a smile onto my face.

"I'm gonna go make dinner, wanna help?" I ask. She shakes her head.

"I think I'm just gonna sleep for a bit. Come get me when dinner's ready?"

"Oh," My smile falters for a second, "Yeah, of course." I'm just gonna make something simple- spaghetti, I think- so it'll only be like forty-five minutes to an hour."
