Broken (A Cimorelli Fanfiction)

I'm sitting on Alexandria's couch surrounded by my sisters. Avatar: The Last Airbender is on the T.V., and when I tell you the 6 of us are invested, man do I mean it. Our eyes are glued to that screen, not even looking at our bowls of cereal- that was all we could find that was easy and quick. Whenever Alexandria texts us, Dani and I are gonna go pick her up from Elise's, then meet up with the rest of the girls somewhere. We don't know where yet.

The episode ends- the fourth one we've watched- and Christina quickly stops it and turns the T.V. off. We all get up and put out dishes in the dishwasher, then everyone but Lisa goes to get ready. Lisa stays to start the dishwasher, I assume, because she was right behind us.

I throw on a big white t-shirt of Alexandria's and a pair of black running shorts, then throw my hair into a bun, slip on some converse and brush on some mascara, and call it good. I'm the first one done, so I sit on the couch downstairs waiting for the others. I pick up my phone to check Instagram and see a text from Alexandria in our groupchat that says she'll be ready for us in roughly 30 minutes.

"GUUYYYYS!" I yell up to them, "CHECK YOUR PHONES!" I don't get a response so I assume they listened to me. After another minute, Dani comes down in a slightly ripped Led Zepplin cut-off tee, black athletic leggings, and a flannel around her waist with her hair down. She flops on the couch next to me and immediately goes on her phone.

Next Lisa and Kath come down. Lisa has her hair in one of those half ponytail bun things. Like the floppy ones? Whatever, anyways, she's wearing regular black leggings and that one big tye-dye shirt that everyone knows is hers. Katherine has on a loose t-shirt and white running shorts with purple lines. Her hair is down and neither of them are wearing makeup. Finally Amy and Christina come down, both wearing a big t-shirt and no makeup. Christina has on running shorts and her hair is in the "Christina" bun and Amy has on black athletic leggings and her hair is down, like Dani. I look at the time a realize it's time to go and stand up.

"Dani, c'mon, we gotta go get Alexandria," I say, grabbing my the keys from Chris. Dani gets up and turns her phone off. "Where are we meeting you guys?" I ask Christina. 

"Umm... How about the IHop we drove past on the way here?" Christina suggests. Everyone nods so I do too. 

"See y'all there!" I call as Dani and I walk out the door.We jump in the car and I start driving as Dani plugs her phone in. 7 Minutes later, we pull up outside of Elise's house and I text Alexandria to let her know we're here. Dani and I get out and walk to the door. Dani rings the doorbell and we hear a dog barking, then someone opens the door. This 19 or 20 year old man opened the door and I see a husky barking behind him. 

"Hi, I'm Grant, Elise's older brother. I assume you guys are friends of Alexandria's?" He asks. Dani and I nod and he lets us in to wait. He leads us to the couch and the husky follows us and jumps up on Dani and I when we sit down. We pet it as Grant sits on a chair near the couch. 

"Gertrude! Down!" Now that's an unusual name for a dog. "So, which Cimorelli's are you? Also, Alexandria told us about you, well, she told Elise with me right next to them." 

"I'm Dani." 

"I'm Lauren." 

"Oh! So you're Lauren!" Grant says, almost surprised sounding. Dani and I look at each other and I nod. 

"Yeah... why?" 

"Alexandria talked about you a lot. She really likes you," Grant says to me. "I'm glad I got to meet you." I blush a little and look down. Yeah, I like her a lot too..." There is an awkward silence for a second, then someone breaks that silence. 

"Lauren!" I hear Alexandria yell. I look up just in time for her to jump on me, wrapping her legs around my wait. I laugh and kiss her and she laughs and kisses me back. She's wearing a blue Mellow Mushroom cut-off tee and black running shorts and her hair is in a messy bun. 

"Nice to see you too, Alexandria," Dani says sarcastically. 

"Oh, hi... uh, what's your name again? Deliliah?" Alexandria jokes and Dani shovers her playfully. 

"Funny. Real funny." 

"I know!" Alexandria says and we laugh. I stand up with Alexandria still wrapped around me and she falls off and lands on the hardwood with a thud. 

"Are you okay?" I hear another voice say. We look up and see Elise standing there with a 'wtf is happening' kinda look on her face. 

"Yeah, I'm good. Lauren is just being mean." 

"Shut up." I say, clearly joking. 

"Oh, hey Dani. Hey Lauren." Elise says, noticing them and waving. Dani and I wave back. Alexandria gets up and hugs Elise. 

"I gotta go, but I'll see you at the concert!" 

"Okay, yeah! Bye Andria!" Elise says as we walk out the door. 

"Bye!" Alexandria yells as the door closes. We get in the car with me driving, Dani in the passenger seat, and Alexandria behind us in the middle so her can talk to us. 

"We're headed to IHop to meet up with the other girls. Have you eaten?" I ask. 

"Yeah." Dani says, not paying attention. I shove her and her head snaps up. "What!" 

"Not you, stupid. Alexandria," I say and Alexandria giggles. 

"Yeah, I've eaten." She says with no explanation. I can tell Dani and I are thinking the same thing, but we have no proof, and therefore, no reason to not believe her. The rest of the drive, we all just talk about whatever. When we pull into IHop, I see the other car and park next to it and walk in. We see the other four girls in a circular booth and go join them. 

"Hey, girlie!" Lisa says when she sees Alexandria and ruffles her hair when she ends up next to her. 

"So what are we doing today?" I ask. 

"First we're gonna visit Alexandria's grandparents. The plan changed so we're seeing both that we haven't already visited today, then, I don't know. That's gonna take up a lot of the day. We're gonna have to drive to Dahlonega then all the way back to Gainseville. Then we'll probably get dinner then we have to drop Alexandria off at Brooke's house." Christina says. 

"What can I get for y'all?" The waitress, who pretty much appeared out of nowhere, asks us. we all order our food, and I notice that Alexandria just orders coffee with a little sugar. The waitress nods and leaves. 

"Did you already-" 

"Yes, I already ate. Calm down y'all," Alexandria says. Christina shrugs and we all just kinda talk until our food comes out. We eat- or drink, I guess- then pay and leave. Alexandria, Dani, Lisa, and I end up in one car and Amy, Katherine, and Christina end up in the other. Lisa drives, Dani is passenger again, and Alexandria and I get the backseat. Lisa turns the music up and we head out towards Dahlonega.
