Alexandria's pov
When we walked in the room dropped almost silent other than the noise on my little cousin's tablet. Then my grandma jumps up.
"Alexandria!" She yells and everyone else starts talking too. She runs over and hugs me then hugs the girls, introducing herself. My cousins jump up and walk over to me.
"You look so cute, Alexandria!" My cousin Jasmine tells me, hugging me.
"Thank you!" I tell her, hugging her, then her sister, Jocelyn.
"Yeah, you really do. also, I love your top," My other girl cousin, Aliah, tells me. All of them are about two years older than me. Aliah just turned 18 and the other two are 17 and will turn 18 in May. I thank Aliah and then they drag me over to the small couch and we all squish on. The Cimorelli's just kind of awkwardly follow me and stand behind me. After it gets kind quiet, I ask for Jasmine to get everyone's attention. (She's the loudest.)
"EVERYONE BE QUIET!" She yells. It sounds unnecessary but I promise it is. We are a loud family of somewhere around 20 people. Everyone quiets down and I sit up a little to grab everyone's attention.
"Okay, hi guys! So I have a few friends who I want to introduce. This is Katherine, Lauren, Amy, Dani, Lisa, and Christina," I say, pointing at each girl as I say their name. They all wave and my family waves back.
"Nice to meet you, girls!" My grandfather says from his chair. He is this huge 6'4 man but is super friendly. My grandmother is much younger and shorter than him. Then there is half of the Thompson family- my Uncle Tim's half. He married a woman named Lauren- ironically- and they had two kids, Seth- who is in college but came down here for this- and Aliah. then there is my uncle Jeremy who married my Aunt Jennifer and they technically have three kids. Jasmine and Jocely are twins and Jeremy is their dad and their mom lives in Ohio and also Devin who is, like, 11 or something now. Jeremy and Jennifer had Devin together. That was my grandmother's side of the family. Then there's my grandfather's side. that includes my mom- who isn't here- and her half-sister, Julianne. Julianne married a man named Will who already had a girl named Seanna- who is a year younger than me but hasn't turned 15 yet- and they had the little cousin I mentioned earlier- Brooklynn is her name- together.
"Are you guys actually all related?" Lauren asks.
"Yep! 100 percent blood-related siblings, ages 16 to 26!" Christina says.
"Do you say that a lot?" Seth asks. Christina sighs and they all giggle a little.
"If only you knew," Dani says and we all laugh. Finally, the tension breaks and my family adopts them as one of their own. I pull Lauren and Dani over to talk with us because they'll get us the most seeing as how Lauren is the same age as my cousins and Dani as me. The other girls all go find themselves a group to talk with. As she passes, Lisa ruffles my hair a bit so I stick my tongue out at her.
"Alexandria. Stop," Lauren says, shaking her head.
"No," I say and stick my tongue out at her. Then I turn to my cousins who are all laughing. "So, this is Lauren and Dani. Dani is 16 like me and Lauren is 18."
"Hi!" Jasmine says excitedly. "What's it like having so many siblings?"
"Crazy!" Lauren, Dani, and I all answer at the same time.
"Wait, you don't have siblings?" Aliah half asks half states. I open my mouth to say something but Dani interrupts me by throwing her arm around me.
"She does now! Poor kid," she says and we all laugh. We all start talking about boys and girly things like that with Seanna- who walked over halfway through our conversation. I'm really glad they like each other, this is going to be so fun!
