Chapter 12: Music

Rydel POV

Ellington and I usually take care of Rosie every day. Very often, my mom or his would babysit. Many days, I am by myself and I just play my piano hoping Ellington might just show up.

Things are okay between Ellington and I. It's just that everytime I try to come up with something nice or romantic dates for us, he always says he has to practice the drums, or go play hockey with my brothers.

I sigh and check the time. 8:45. Of course I AM ALWAYS UP EARLY! I never ever hit snooze on my alarm. I quickly get up and make some coffee. Ellington went out with Riker last night so... I'm okay.

I go and sit by the piano.

Where has all that love for me gone? I say in my head and get tears. I am not going to cry. I won't cry. This is a stupid reason to cry.

I do a litttle warm ups for my fingers by just playing little parts of One Last Dance. Rosie would be awake in a little while, she sleeps late. (Just like Ellington).

I stand and get my song book from my secret place I keep it. It's like my diary into a song. I open it into a song called "This Love" and sing to myself.
