If I Can't Be With You (A Rydellington Love Story)

Chapter 14: Holidays Part 2

Rydel POV

My mom decided she needed some Rosie time which by all means is okay with me. She usually has her every week at least once. Rosie loves being with my mom. It reminds me of how close my mom and I were.

"So we are going to shop til we drop?" Savannah asks me and I nod. I still haven't got anything for any one. Which is really bad for me. I have lots of shopping to do.

Savannah has been lonely lately since Ry is playing DJ gigs for people now so he's getting his own career going. Savannah's happy for him but she hasn't been herself lately which worries me. She has been at home and stays at home all day and night. I practically had to drag her out today.

Savannah and I get in her car and right away I see a picture of her and Ryland when it was St.Patrick's day. Her green hat and skirt with Ryland which his shirt said 'Kiss me I'm Irish' on the shirt. She sighed and started the car.

"You know I'm here for you whenever you need me I'm there." I say to her and she nods and drives. For the drive to the mall was silent and awkward.

We arrived and right away I shopped for my brothers. Ross said he wanted some new converse which his yellow ones are ruined by how much he wore them. I got him new yellow converse and customized them to say his name on them which he will like.

I got Riker a suitcase scooter like the one I got Ellington for his birthday. Riker was jealous he didn't have one which I remembered easily of all his fake pouting over this. Then next was Rocky.

Rocky loved guitars which everybody knew this especially me. That dang pink ukelele was used more for hitting then playing mostly. Rocky was the only one mostly who played it. So I bought him a actual real ukelele.

Last for my brothers was Ryland. Which was easy so I got him headphones that were red. Savannah made a photo album for him which I found soooooo sweet!

Last but not the least important was Ellington's. Which is easy for me which I got him a sloth sweater, mustache slippers, and new package of drumsticks. See? Pretty easy for me.

"I had a good time." Savannah says walking out of the mall making me smile. This was my plan.

"That's great! Lets walk and get snow cones then come back to your car." I say then we walk.

"Do you ever wonder if you're just wasting your time?" Savannah says. I shrug.

"I used to think that."

"Do you think Ryland and I are meant for each other?" She asks. I don't know wether or not to say my opinion but I am sure they are.

"I don't know." I say which was a little lie.

We walk a little ways when I realize I don't hear her heels clicking with mine. I turn around and don't see Savannah.

"Savannah?" I call out looking around. Suddenly someone puts their huge hand in front of my mouth.

"Don't move a muscle."
