If I Can't Be With You (A Rydellington Love Story)

Chapter 20: Rocky's Promise

Ellington POV

Rydel fell asleep on my lap in the living room after a few hours. It was only Riker, Ross, and Ryland in the living room with me. Rosie was still in her room with Rocky.

"Why did this happen?" I ask suddenly breaking the silence. Riker sighs.

"When it first happened, my mom said Rydel was under pressure too much and so stressed out. It was your fault it happened again. She was so stressed about you." Riker says. I look down at Rydel. It's all my fault.

Soon, Riker left with Ross and Ryland on his tail. Rocky was still with Rosie. I decided to move Rydel off of me and leave her on the couch. I sit and look at the scrapbook my mom and Stormie made Rydel and I for our wedding.

There was a picture of me going to spank Rydel which made me smile. The good old days where I wasn't hated by anybody. I didn't make mistakes this big. We were all best friends and in love. Then there was a note written by Rydel to me that I never noticed before:
Dear Ellington,
I'm so glad to be your wife. I always knew you were special when I met you. I think my brain knew before I did that I loved you before you knew I did. You make me laugh, cry, smile, so much more. So many memories are waiting for us.
I know you will always love me. Take care of me. Protect me. You know I would do the same for you.
I fell for you. Hard.
Love always,

Rydel.

I sit there rereading. I didn't realize it but.... I was crying.

Rocky POV

Rosie and I were watching Toy Story 3. She quotes every single word. Just like Ellington. She looks like Rydel but is like Ellington. She jokes and taps her foot all the time like he does.

Suddenly, Rosie gets tears in her eyes. I look at her. "What's wrong?" I ask picking her up.

"Nothing.... Is mamoo and daddy gonna be okay?" She asks. Oh great oh course she's worried about this. "Rocky.... Are they?" She asks making me go back to reality.

"Oh course. Your mom and dad are best friends and are in love. They love each other no matter what. Let me tell you something. I knew that your mom loved your dad ever sounds they met. Actually, ever since this one day we all were in the pool playing Marco Polo. Your mom thought she had got Ross but she had your dad. That was the moment I loved them to be together." I say smiling at the memory. Rosie looked like she just heard the best thing ever with her wide smile with her hazel eyes twinkling happily.

"That sounds like a fairy tale! Can I hear more?" She asks and I laugh. I have lots of Rydellington stories.

I mean I, Rocky Mark Lynch, am the king of Rydellington shipping.

"Sure for bedtime later." I say. She smiles.

"Rocky... Can you promise me that they will stay together?" Rosie says looking at me like she hopes so much.

Of course I want them to. I mean I know Rydel will always keep forgiving Ellington for being stupid at times. Ellington will always care and protect my sister. That is why I basically made him go buy a ring for her. I know I shouldn't just promise.... But I don't want to disappoint her.

"I promise that they will. I also promise if they are on the verge of not being together, I will try to keep them together with my magic powers." I say meaning every word. Rosie smiles and hugs me.

"I love you Rocky." She says making me get smile widely.

"Love you too! Remember we are gonna party when you turn five in a week!" I say making her laugh.

That promise kept repeating itself in my head the rest of the day.

Don't you just love how I referred back to the FIRST chapter of the FIRST book? Like.... It's been a year since I wrote that... Like... What. Is. Life.

RYDELLINGTON IS BASICALLY OFFICIAL THEY ARE ON A ROAD TRIP OMG MY FEELS I AM SO HAPPY ABOUT THIS!!!!!

So lets review:
-Ellington broke his promise with Rydel
-Riker is still mad at Ellington
-Rydel had that panic attack
-Lastly, Ellington misses the old days

THE NEXT CHAPTER IS OMG EXCITING!
