Also in two years I'm going to Germany for a foreign exchange program!!!!!!

Lots of stuff ya know? I need to study up on my languages (I know Mandarin Chinese and german)

TW: a tiny bit angsty

Jared looked out the passenger side window, seeing the dark sky and the lights of buildings passing by. Even though they had only been driving for three hours, Jared already missed Disney World. He and Evan had spent the day there, and now they were heading back home.

Jared sighed.

"What's going through your head over there?" Evan asked, flicking his eyes towards Jared.

"Nothing," Jared responded.

It was quiet, except for the radio playing soft music. Evan tapped his fingers to the beat on the steering wheel.

"Something's up, Jare. Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, Evan."

Evan pursed his lips, and sighed. Jared leaned his head on the glass of the window, wrapping his arms around himself. He felt tears spring in his eyes. Why couldn't he just tell Evan what was going on? Why couldn't he just be a normal person? Why was he so scared?

"Pull over." Jared's words came out of his mouth before he even thought about them.

"Okay." Evan put his blinker on, and turned the steering wheel. He pulled over on the side of the road. He stopped the car and turned the light on.

He saw Jared curled up on the passenger side, tears falling down his face, hands shaking.

"Oh, Jare..." Evan said, unbuckling his seatbelt. "What's wrong?"

"I'm sorry."

"You didn't do anything wrong."

"I can't do this."

"This...?" It came to Evan's head. "Oh..."

"I'm so scared." Jared wiped a tear from his eyes, sniffling. "I'm scared of being in a relationship."

"I'm so sorry, Jared."

"You didn't do anything, I'm just being immature and...I don't know. I'm just being stupid." Jared put his fingers on the button to undo the seatbelt, but didn't press down.

"You say there's so much you don't know. Like you need to go and find it, tied to someone else maybe. You say you'd rather be alone."

Jared put his hand in the middle of the seat divider. Evan took that as a sign to hold it.

"But who said that's true? That the growing only happens on your own. You know, they don't know me and you."

Jared looked over, smiling.

"I don't think you have to leave, 'cause if change is what you need, you know you can always change right next to me. When you're high, I'll take the lows. You can ebb, and I can flow. And we'll just take it slow. And grow as we go. Can we try that?"

"I think so," Jared sniffed.

"I promise you won't be the only one. I am unfinished, I've got so much left to learn. I don't know how this river runs, but I'd love the company through every twist and turn."

Jared smiled.

"You don't ever have to leave, 'cause if change is what you need. As I said earlier? You can change right next to me. When you're high, I'll take your lows. Ebb and flow. We'll just take it slow."

"And grow as we go?" Jared asked, smiling.

"Grow as we go," Evan responded, squeezing Jared's hand. (Ack, this is cute-)

"But what about the future?" Jared asked.

"I don't know what we'll become. I can't promise that it's not written in the stars. But I believe when it's done, we're gonna see that it was better when we grew up together."

"Awww, Evan." Jared leaned into Evan, wrapping his arm around him.

"Tell me you don't want to leave. Because we can get through this. You can change right next to me."

"When you're high, I'll take the lows," Jared said.

"You can ebb, and I can flow."

"And we'll just take it slow."

"And grow as we go..." Evan said. He lifted Jared's fame to his, softly kissing him. Jared smiled, putting his hand on Evan's cheek, feeling a tear rub down his face.

They separated, and Evan pulled onto the highway to drive, his hand still holding to Jared's.

They would make it through this.

Heyyyy I just remembered a fun fact:

So in DEH V-A-C-A-TION (pt 3) the line, "What's your damage, Heather???" When Jared falls was originally gonna be, "Whatchu talknin' 'bout, Willis?" But the reference would fly over people's heads (or make them confused) and the one I used fit the scene more.

Requests?

Also I might not be updating that much here, but I promise I still will!!!! I've started a new book for the Politician and I'm pretty excited about it!!!!!

Stay snazzy!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
