Warning: lil bit of blood. (I swear its not angst)

Connor's POV

I woke up to the bright sun rays shining through the window blinds. Next to me, was my boyfriend, Evan Hansen. He was breathing softly, his chest rising and falling. He shifted in in his sleep to his back. I was about to get up, and start making some pancakes to surprise Evan.

I lifted the sheets, and saw a red stain on Evan's pants, and on the sheets. Apparently, Evan had started his period overnight. I quickly got out of bed, and walked over to the dresser, pulling out Evan's favorite pajamas. Then I walked over to his bathroom, and quietly opened the squeaky door. I didn't want Evan to wake up yet. I opened the shower door, and began running some warm water, making sure it wasn't too hot. A cabinet in the bathroom held a box of pads for Evan when his time of the month came. I got it out, and set it by his clothes.

Evan was still asleep when I walked back into his bedroom. I stood by his side, and gently kissed his cheek to wake him up. He shifted a little bit, but his eyes were still closed.

"Evan, wake up, Baby," I whispered in his ear. "I started a shower for you."

The smaller boy slowly opened his bright blue eyes.

"Wha?" His morning voice was soft.

"I fixed a shower for you. Need help getting out of bed?" I asked, smiling. He nodded, and I lifted him onto the ground. He spotted the blood stains on the sheets, and went wide-eyed.

"Connor, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to-" He tried to cover the stains, but I grabbed his hands.

"Shh..It's okay. You're fine. I'm okay with this."

"Well, you're gonna have to deal with me, and you're gone have to deal with blood, and I know you don't like blood. I'm so sorry."

"It's a totally normal human function. While you're in the shower, I'm gonna wash these sheets, and find your favorite movies. Is that okay?" I asked him. He nodded, and I kissed his forehead. He walked off to the bathroom. "Take your time, honey."

While Evan was in the shower, I washed the sheets on his bed, and replaced them with new ones. This set had miniature spruce trees on them. I walked into the living room and set out Evan's favorite movie series: Star Wars. Ms. Hansen walked into the living room yawning, and sporting a bun in her golden hair.

"G'morning, Connor. How'd you sleep? Oh, goodness, I'm so tired. I was texting Paul until 3," She explained. "Is Evan still asleep?"

"Evan's in the shower."

"Do you boys want pancakes? Or cereal? Or anything?" She asked.

"I think Evan would want pancakes," I told her. "But I'm good with making anything."

"Well, I'll fix run off to work. Is Evan okay on refills?"

"I think so. He's doing so much better," I replied.

"Well, before he met you, he wouldn't even come out of his room. He used to spend his Friday nights telling me he had no friends. He'd always be in his bedroom, making no noise, and pretending he doesn't exist," Ms. Hansen told me.

"Thank you for that beautiful Harry Potter reference. And he's helped me as well. He literally saved my life. The day I first met him, I was going to go home and...Well...I couldn't stop thinking about him, and it kept me going."

"Well..I gotta go change IV's and whatever, but I'll be back by two. Don't have too much fun! And use protection!" She warned.

I laughed. "See ya, Ms. Hansen."

I walked into the kitchen, and got out the pancake mix, poured it in a bowl, and started adding milk to the mixture. I was about to get butter and put a little on a frying pan, when Evan walked out of the bathroom, rubbing his eyes.

"Morning, Sunshine!" I said. He rested his head against my arms. "You okay, baby?" He mumbled something in my arm. I turned around to hug him. "You smell good," I said.

"Thanks."

"Wanna watch a movie?" I asked him. "Your pick."

"You won't like this movie. It's a musical," He told me.

"I will literally watch anything you want to. What do you wanna watch?"

"Don't laugh."

"I'm not going to. If you wanna watch something like Shrek, that'd be a totally different story."

"Can we watch Phantom of the Opera?" He said quickly. I nodded, and he walked into the living room, and turned the movie on. "By the way, I really am sorry for making you deal with me. I know you don't like blood and-" I cut him off by kissing him. He smiled, and put his hands around my neck. I drew him closer. After a while, we separated. "I love you so much, Connor."

"I love you too, Evan," I replied, kissing his temple. "Let's watch the movie about a stalker and pretend it's totally normal."
