"Adalet, Andrea has asked me to go with you to the abandoned fairground to meet Randolph!" Amy salutes, "are you sure we should go, though? I mean... Does Andrea seriously believe that Randolph is an alien?! And what if something goes wrong? Colonel Spangler tried to help Randolph, and look where that got him!"

"An order is an order," Adalet replies, "so, let's head over to the abandoned fairground and see what Randolph wants from us!"

At the abandoned fairground...

"This abandoned fairground gives me a major helping of the creeps!" Amy shivers, "what if there are killer clowns?"

"Abandoned usually means no one is around," Adalet countered, "but right now we need to focus on Randolph!

She nods, "we're here to meet with Randolph. But I don't see him anywhere!"

"Neither do I," she sighed, "do you want to split up? You can take Hunter if she makes you feel safer."

"I'm not the biggest fan of the idea," she admits, "but you have a point. If we split up, we can cover more ground. And... I'll take Hutner if you don't mind..."

She smiles, "Hunter, go with Amy."

The dog barked before moving from the raven-haired's side to the blonde's.

"Randolph must be around here somewhere," Adalet reasoned.

"I bet you'll find him first, Adalet!" Amy declared.

She chuckled, "yell if you find anything!"

The two split up and went in separate directions, Amy and Hunter set off towards the rides while Adalet went to the game stalls. As Adalet walked through the various carnival stalls, she picked up a faded card off the ground that looked to have been dropped there recently. She also spotted a claw machine game that had its lid slightly moved to one side, as if someone had just opened it up.

Turning around to face the opposite direction of the claw machine, she was greeted by a startling sight that made her shout out a cry of fear. There, resting on the bench of the shooting gallery was Randolph's body, his chest cut open like an autopsied corpse showing off all his internal organs to her. Adalet's cry alerted Amy and Hunter and the two rushed over to the captain's location.

"Adalet!" Amy yells as she got closer, "what's wrong?!"

"I found Randolph!" Adalet calls back, "he's in the shooting gallery... But his chest has been opened!"

"Don't tell me he's dead!" she cried, slowing to a stop beside the captain and taking in the sight, "oh my goodness, his organs are just out in the open for all the world to see... First Spangler was killed, and now Randolph? He's the most harmless person we've met in Rhine Canyon! Who would do this to him?"

"Right now, we don't have that answer, but what we do have are clues," Adalet says, walking back towards the claw machine.

"You're right, we must focus on the clues! This fairground is abandoned... and yet this claw machine looks like it's still working!" she remarked, seeing the lights flickering in the machine, "whatever that claw machine is hiding, you're sure to find it in no time!"

"What about this card?" she asks, passing it to her partner before climbing up onto a crate beside the claw machine.

The rookie took the card, "this card has an oddly familiar moth design, doesn't it? I'll get your dusting kit so you can uncover the information!"

While Amy set off back to the hummer to get Adalet's case and also call Roxie to come to get the body, Adalet removed the lid of the claw machine. She lifted herself and bent once the side of the glass tank to be able to reach inside. With the glass digging into her stomach, she plunged her hand into the tank and began digging around all the stuffed toys and other prizes that were inside. Moving a pink stuffed bear aside, she saw a piece of paper sticking out from the pile. Pulling it out she noticed that the page was almost completely soaked in blood.
