Your POV

10 Years Later

I woke up my wife, Cadenza, and said, "Cadi, we should probably go wake the kids. Today is Theo's first day of elementary school. So we should probably make sure Emerald doesn't overslept and miss the bus for middle school." Cadenza smiled and said, "I go make breakfast for them if you get them up." I nodded and got up.
I woke up my 5-year-old son, Theo, and he opened his eyes and yawned. He looked like me except that he wasn't a Meif'wa and had his mother's eyes.
I woke up my 10-year-old daughter, Emerald, and she said, "5 more minutes." She looked just like her mother except that she was a Meif'wa like me and had my eyes.
I smirked and said, "I guess I won't put any tuna in your lunch box today if you don't get up." When I said that, she sat up and said, "I'm up!" I chuckled and thought to myself, Works everytime.
After Cadenza and I dropped off the kids at school, she turned to me and said, "I'm so glad that you tripped in the park that day." I kissed her and said, "As am I."
