Ch. 30 Making Sure

Your POV

The Next Morning

I yawn and open my eyes. I see Cadenza smiling back at me. Then she said, "Morning, Sexy. Are you doing better now?" I looked at her confused and said, "What do you mean?" She smiled and said, "I'll take that as a yes. You were great last night by the way." As soon as she said that, I realized that we were both completely naked in our bed. Then I said, "What happened?" Cadenza kissed me on the cheek and said, "You were in heat yesterday, darling." I blushed and said, "I'm sorry. I've never been in heat while in an intimate relationship like ours. Then again, I've never been in a relationship at all before I met you."
Cadenza smiled and stroked my ears and said, "You don't need to apologize. I enjoyed it. Even if you did get me pregnant, I'm glad it was with you. I love you." I hugged her and said, "That's one of the things that I love about you, you're always so understanding." Then I thought to myself, I definitely want to marry Cadenza. But I should definitely make sure that Laurance is okay with me marrying her. Then I need to get a ring.
I kissed Cadenza on the cheek and said, "Hey Cadi, I just remembered something that Laurance asked me to help him and Garroth with. Will you be alright if I go?" She smiled and said, "I'll be fine, Fluffball. Just don't take all day." I get dressed and said, "I won't. I love you." "I love you too, Fluffball," Cadenza said.
I put on my glasses and went over to Laurance's house. I knocked on the door. A few minutes later, a tired and partially awake Laurance answered the door. He yawned and said, "Good morning, Y/N. What do you need this early in the morning?" I looked at him and said, "It'd be better if we talk inside." He let me inside and made himself a cup of coffee. Then he said, "You want some coffee?" "Sure, I've never had it before," I said. Laurance nodded and poured me a cup of coffee. We sat down on his couch and I said, "As you know, I have been dating Cadenza for a little over a year. I love her with all of my heart. Which is why I want to propose to her, if you're okay with that."
Laurance answered and said, "If you were anyone else, I would probably say no. But I know much you love and care about her, so you have my blessing." I hugged him and said, "Thank you, Laur! I'm so glad that I'll have you as my Brother-in-law!" He pats me on the back and said, "Me too." I take a sip of my coffee and drink the whole cup. I suddenly feel full of lots of energy. I stood up and said really fast, "THANKSFORTHECOFFEELAURANCE!ISHOULDPROBABLYGETGOINGBACKHOME.ITWASNICESEEINGYOUAGAIN!BYE!" (Translation: "Thanks for the coffee, Laurance! I probably should get going. Nice seeing you again. Bye!") Then I ran out the door.

Laurance's POV

Oh no, I thought. I don't think that giving him coffee was a good idea.
