"hey dad."

hayley said as she sat down next to charlie on his sofa. the tv was playing an old rerun of a baseball game that was aired a couple of weeks ago. charlie looked up at hayley in confusion when he saw the sheepish look on her face.
"yeah kiddo. is something wrong?"

he asked worriedly. hayley sighed before looking into his eyes.
"look dad um, how do i say this...."

hayley started trying to form her next few words carefully. she didn't want to just out her relationship with emmett and rosalie, she knew that if she did than charlie probably wouldn't be able to process it as quick and he would most probably have a heart attack. she didn't want her fathers death in her conscious. she wanted to ease into it not rip it off like a bandaid.
"just say it kid. you can tell me anything."

charlie said soothingly he wanted his daughter to know that she could tell him whatever she wanted whenever she wanted to. at the look of pure curiosity on her fathers face, hayley couldn't help but cave.
"i have a boyfriend!"

hayley exclaimed causing charlie to gasp out in shock.

"and a girlfriend."

she finished quietly.
"wait so you have a boyfriend and a girlfriend?"

charlie asked for confirmation. he still couldn't believe that his eldest daughter was in a three person relationship. hayley nodded before looking down to the ground in shame thinking that charlie was going to disown her.
"who are they?"

charlie asked finally grasping the fact that her daughter was in a relationship.
"emmett cullen and rosalie hale. we've been dating for a few days now."

hayley explained. charlie day quietly for a minute before he finally let out a sigh before looking at his daughter.
"and you trust them?"

he asked. hayley immediately nodded rapidly causing charlie to nod once again.
"as long as you're happy i'm happy kiddo. just remind them that i'm a police officer."

charlie remarked, hayley giggled at her fathers overprotective nature.
"i will don't worry."
"you're just lucky that i actually trust them. they seem like they have a good head on their shoulders."

 charlie said seriously hayley smiled at charlie before standing up and taking his plates to the kitchen.
"hey dad!"

hayley called from the kitchen.
"yeah kiddo?"

"i wanted to let you know that i'll be going out tonight."

hayley said as she leaned against the kitchen entrance. charlie turned around to face hayley.

"with who?"

he asked.
"with rose and em."

hayley replied as she walked back into the kitchen. hayley pottered around the kitchen making sure it was clean before she walked upstairs to get ready.when she walked into her walk in closet, hayley continuously rummaged through all of her clothes trying to make sure that she had the perfect outfit. she spent ten minutes rushing to find an outfit before she finally found the perfect outfit. hayley ran into the bathroom and began to scrub her body using her favourite watermelon scented body wash. after she washed her body, she used her peach scented shampoo and conditioner to wash her hair. she also shaved every single inch of her body to make sure that it was a smooth as possible.

after she showered, hayley wrapped her towel around her body and made her way back into her room where she proceeded to get changed into her outfit which consisted of a black pair of skinny jeans, a white crop top and a light blue denim jacket. for her footwear, hayley decided to wear her black velvet high heel boots which were a gift from her mother on her sixteenth birthday.
for her hair, hayley decided to blow dry and then straighten it to perfection. for her makeup, she decided to do her signature natural look which consisted of lip gloss, winged eyeliner and some mascara.

when she was officially ready, hayley quickly sprayed herself with her perfume and made her way downstairs where she quickly grabbed her phone and her wallet where they were found on the kitchen place where she left them. hayley quickly glanced at her phone to check the time.7:59

only one more minute, hayley couldn't help the rush of excitement that ran through her body and decided to count down the seconds.

"when do they get here?"

charlie asked as he walked into the kitchen and leaned against the door.
"right about now."

hayley said as just on queue the doorbell rang. hayley squealed not being able to hold back how excitement as she ran to the door and swinging it open to reveal a smiling emmett and rosalie. hayley jumped wrapping her long arms around emmett's neck and pulled him into a hug. she pulled away and did the same to rosalie who gladly returned the hug.
after their reunion the two vampires turned to charlie who was watching the display of affection from behind them.
"chief swan."

emmett and rosalie chorused as they both held their hands out for charlie to shake.
"emmett, rosalie. i hear your taking my little girl out on a date."

charlie said gruffly after he shook their hands. emmett nodded.
"yes sir, we're taking hayley out to dinner and then for a surprise. we promise to have her back by ten."

rosalie explained as she watched charlie stare at them doubtfully before he finally nodded.
