hayley groggily groaned as she opened her eyes. she first expected to see victoria but instead she was met with darkness. when she looked around the room, the only thing she could make out was a staircase that led upstairs. there was also a small barred window in the corner of the room. hayley attempted to stand up but was only met with pain when she attempted to move her leg.
"what the?"
she muttered to herself confused. when she looked down at her leg, eyes strained she let out a strangled gasp when she noticed the horrible angle that her leg was sitting at. she didn't have to touch it to know that it was indeed broken.
'it must've been from when victoria put me here. probably to prevent me from moving.' hayley thought to herself miserably.
"i have to get out of here."
hayley said quietly looking around the room for anything that could help her. unfortunately, the only thing that she could find in the room was a lonely chair that stood in front of her.
"fuck."
when she realized that she couldn't do anything, hayley let out a sob. she felt hopeless. she had only wished that she wasn't in this situation and that she was back at the cullen house in the warm embrace of her mate's arms.
the brunette sat there for hours before the door opened and footsteps echoed from the top of the stairs. hayley's eyes stayed trained on the floor, even when the figure stopped in front of her.
"aww poor baby."
victoria taunted smiling maniacally at the girl. hayley scoffed at how childish victoria was being.
"what do you want with me victoria?"
hayley demanded trying to hide the fear that threatened to show.
victoria merely cackled at hayley before running a finger down her cheek.
"nothing in particular.... yet. i have a lot of plans in store for you."
victoria whispered into hayley's ear before standing up and smiling.
"i'll see you later!"
victoria exclaimed as she turned around and walked up the stairs that led to the inside of the house once again leaving hayley alone in the dark.
"great."
the brunette girl sighed looking back down at the ground.
time went by agonizingly slow and hayley was becoming increasingly annoyed with her situation. she desperately wanted to break free, but she couldn't do anything with her broken leg. even if she did get free of her chains, she would easily be caught and bought back by an angry victoria who would probably kill the girl.
hayley became so annoyed that she began to count down from 1000 in 7's."1000, 993, 986."
hayley kept on counting slowly until the door eventually opened once more.
"608, 601."
hayley continued to stare at the floor until the person that came down the stairs stopped right in front of her. hayley became confused when she noticed that the person in front of her was wearing shoes. it was in that moment hayley knew that it was not victoria standing in front of her because the ginger haired never wore shoes anywhere.
hayley slowly looked up and what she saw shocked her. standing in front of her was a petit pale skinned girl who stood at 5"3. she had long strawberry blonde hair and forest green eyes that seemed to glow in the dark.
"who are you?"
hayley demanded as she watched the mysterious girl crouch in front of her. the girl didn't answer but instead just handed hayley a plate of what seemed to be a plate of mashed potatoes and ribs. the girl also placed a cup of water in front of her next to the plate.
"how am i supposed to eat or drink?"
hayley demanded using her head to motion to her chains. the girl looked down at her chains and seemed to think for a minute before she went over to a drawer at the back of the room. hayley watched as the girl pulled out a silver key from the top drawer. it was small and it was shaped as a heart which hayley found weird. the girl slowly turned towards hayley and then unlocked her cuffs.
"thank-you."
hayley whispered rubbing her bruised wrists. the girl said nothing and began to watch as hayley began to devour her plate of food and cup of water. when hayley finished her food, the girl locked hayley's wrists back into the cuffs and put the key away much to hayley's displeasure and then picked up the plate and cup and made her way back up the stairs.
"wait!"
hayley shouted looking at the staircase. the girl came to a stop and looked at hayley with a delicate eyebrow arched upwards in curiosity.
"can i know your name?"
the girl looked hesitant for a moment before she finally shook her head and walked up the stairs and closing the door.
hayley sighed before she went back to counting backwards from 1000 skipping every seventh number until she eventually fell asleep in the darkness.

i cannot take it anymore!
it has been a day ever since emmett and i found out that hayley was kidnapped by victoria and we still haven't found any clues about her whereabouts. we also found out that bella had handed herself over to james and edward had to go and risk his life just to go and save him.
i hate bella so much, she's the only reason my family has been put into so much danger.i looked over at emmett who was impatiently pacing in our room while mumbling to himself. i could tell he was both worried about our mate and furious at himself for not being there to protect hayley. i would know because i feel the exact same way.
we were both waiting for alice and jasper to get back to ask alice if she had seen anything else that could help us find hayley. esme and carlisle still aren't back yet because they went to the hospital with edward and were looking after bella who was stupid enough to get herself injured.
'pathetic human.'
i thought to myself bitterly.
i was bought out of my brooding by the sound of alice's car pulling into the driveway. emmett and i sped out to the porch and approached alice.
"see anything?"
i asked hopefully. alice sighed in sadness and shook her head. my hope instantly vanished, and i fell to the ground as tears of venom left my eyes. emmett dropped to the floor and pulled me into his embrace.
"don't worry rose, we'll find her. she's tough."
he whispered into my ear trying to comfort me, but i shook my head.
"something keeps blocking me from seeing anything."
alice explained looking down to the ground as shame and guilt began to flood her eyes. jasper noticed and pulled her into a comforting hug.
the tears continued to roll down my cheeks as i began to think more and more about hayley.
"she could be hurt somewhere, or she could be getting tortured at this very moment."
i mumbled into emmett's jumper.
"don't think like that rose, she's a strong girl."
"and how do we know that?! that's right we don't know emmett! she could be hurt or worse dead and we don't know because we weren't hear to protect her! we failed!"
i screeched mournfully while glaring at him. emmett just tightened his arms around him and continued to hold me in his arms until i eventually calmed down.
"i'm sorry em, i didn't mean to scream at you like that i'm just worried about hayley."
i whispered.
"that's alright rose, i'm worried about her too. i don't blame you for reacting like that."
emmett replied pulling away to peck my forehead.
"i hope she's alright."
i whispered brokenly as i stared down at my wedding ring that emmett gave to me. it always gave me a great sense of comfort whenever i felt terrible, but it wasn't now.
it took emmett an hour before he was finally able to calm me down enough for us two to start searching for hayley once more.
