Three weeks have past since my first awakening in the cave of Azelf, Uxie, and Mesprit.
By the time passing, everyone but Staraptor was at a full recovery.
In the morning, I was greeted by Absol and Gallade in my bedroom.
"Good morning guys."
"And a swell morning to you," replied Absol.
"How you feeling?" I asked them.
"I feel great. Those nurses sure know there stuff," said Gallade with a grin.
"My leg was injured, but it has gained a full recovery since my treatment. What about you?" asked Absol.
"Never been better. The nurses fixed my broken rib and healed any cuts I had."
"That's grand news."
"Before we do anything else,I wanna wait til Staraptor heals her broken wing."
"That treatment could take another month!" exclaimed Gallade.
"I know, but it wouldn't be the same without her. She's part of the team."
"Knock knock," Weavile said as he knocked on the wall.
"Hey! Weavile!"
"Finally! I can move around without being told to do all the time!" he laughed, "I swear that nurse has it in for me."
"Excuse me?" the nurse, Blissey, was right behind him.
"I didn't say anything..." he cringed.
"Thought so," she retorted.
Gosh, I hate when she does that!" complained Weavile.
"Anyways, lets get out of my room. I'm getting a little claustrophobic here."
They followed me into the rec room.
The rec room was a large court, packed with furniture, games, and anything to keep the kids entertained.
I took a spot on the couch, as did Absol, Gallade, and Weavile.
"Where's everyone else?" I asked.
"What? Are we not good enough company?" joked Weavile.
"In the dining hall. From what I last heard, anyways," replied Absol.
"Oh..." I yawned and stretched, "Probably eating then."
"Damian...?" Absol started.
"Yeah?"
"How is your family? And the others in the lab? I've been curious about all of it during my recovery," he asked.
"I've been talking to my mom and dad a lot. I don't think they believe me completely that I'm... Y'know? A Pokemon. I even talk to my sister. I tell ya, Angel was so happy to hear my voice. She asked if I was okay and wanted to know when I was coming home," my grin faded, "I told her... Not anytime soon. And she started crying. I was heartbroken, knowing the fact I'm not there for her. Angel told me about a bully in school, and... I feel terrible because I'm not there to protect her. She misses me so much. So do my parents. I hope this ends soon. I can't keep running. I have to fix things now or never."
They all frowned.
"We'll fix this mess, Damian. You'll be a human again, and it'll be like this whole thing never happened," Weavile comforted.
I grimaced.
"No... It will never be the same. I looked into it more. Why would Team Plasma have a machine that reverses the process of turning humans into Pokemon? That would mean they expect to get caught in their little game. They think they'll get away with all of this. And who knows? They probably will, but... Even if I can't be a human again, it'll be something I'll just have to accept, and I'm trying to accept it ahead of time. Really. I am. I just... Can't," I began to sob.
"Damian, remember what I told you at the mountain?" Absol asked.
"You told me a lot at the mountain..." I winced.
"I told you this. Hope for the inevitable, but do what you are able. If you lack the faith and continue to hope for the worst, your mind is only going to strive you to failure. You must always keep a clear mind and do not awfulize the situation. The negativity causes stress, and stress leads to many other physical and mental issues. Now Damian, you are smart, intelligent, and incredibly brave, especially after what you have suffered within this last month," Absol said soothingly.
"Don't doubt yourself buddy. You can do this. Just hope for the best and you'll be fine," added Gallade.
I grinned lightly, sniffling, "Thanks."
Weavile already jumped into the subject.
"So about the guys at the lab?" Weavile asked.
"Josh finally learned how to create an awesome illusion. He's covering the cameras so everyone can train for the battle ahead-"
"Speaking of training," Gallade interrupted with a grin.
"Hey, that's right! We can start training again!" I laughed.
"We'll eat first, then ask Azelf if there's a good place for us to train," stated Gallade.
Out of nowhere, I was greeted by Torchic.
