It was the middle of the day, and Angel was at school. Ever since this whole hiccup with Team Plasma taking Damian, John and Mary have only felt three emotions through all of it. Fear, sorrow, and woe. John knew they were being watched by Team Plasma outside, and if it weren't for the security system outside surveilling the entire house, they would have attacked long ago. Kidnapped Angel, and probably all of them just to convince Damian to return to the facility.

Every day, John and Mary somehow couldn't accept that Damian was a Pokemon, but they knew it was real when they visited him on his birthday and through all the conversations they had via Azelf and Mesprit. Mary would occasionally cry at night, after walking out of Damian's bedroom. She would remain inside for an hour at a time, simply staring at Damian's posters and decor. She knew he was safe, but she missed him. As did John and Angel. Angel found herself lonely a lot of the time, without her brother to keep her company, she became often depressed.

"Damian never deserved this," the parents would often say.

They hadn't heard or seen Lewis for the longest time being, and it was almost as though he had disappeared. It had also been quite a while since Damian's last talk with his mother and father.

Mary was home alone, the silence nearly killing her as she pressed John's suit for work tomorrow. He was taking a nap from his work today, and it was only a matter of time before Angel returned home.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.

Did I lock the door? Mary wondered.

"Just a minute, Angel!" she called out.

Mary opened the door, unknowingly of whoever was behind it. But, as she saw his face, she wanted to attack him. Mary slammed the door in the mans face and locked it.

"JOHN!" She screamed.

In mere seconds, John came running downstairs, wearing only his work pants.

"What is it?" he asked Mary as he held both of her arms.

Her breathing was erratic as she replied, "Lewis' dad... He... He's outside. I think he wants to kidnap Angel," she muttered.

John's eyes widened. He opened the door just a crack to see that his wife was right.

"Please... I need to talk to you about something."

John opened the door all the way, staring at the man in front of him, clenching his fists. Lewis' father wasn't much taller than John was, but he had more muscle. Regardless of this guys size, John wasn't simply going to let him take his daughter.

"Get the hell off of my property, right now!" John screamed.

Not even flinching, the man replied, "Listen to me. I can help you get Damian back! But only if you listen to what I have to say!"

John grabbed Lewis' father by the shirt and pinned him against the wall. Baring his teeth, John said, "I do not care what you have to say. Damian is doing just fine where he is, now leave!"

"Look! They took Lewis and did the same thing to him! My son is gone too, and there's nothing I can do without your help!" he yelled in John's face.

John panted from his anger and pulled his hands away from Lewis' fathers shirt.

Wiping off his torso, Mason replied, "I'm sorry this had to happen, and I completely understand why you would be angry at me and Lewis. I wanna say we were only doing our job, but that doesn't matter anymore. Can I come in, please?"

John thought about it for a moment.

"How can I trust you?" snarled John.

Mason gestured towards his holster, then emptied his pockets which contained nothing.
