Chapter 12

MEL POV

I texted the director and Chlyer that I wouldn't be in the rest of the day. I needed to share this news, there was no time to act. I decided that I would go straight home and surprise Chris. I drove as fast as I could and cut off a lot of people. Which probably wasn't the best idea, but I was too excited to wait. I'm a very good driver, normally. When I got home, I saw Chris and I made sure he didn't see me. I waited around the corner until he finished letting out the dogs. He went in and then I pulled into the driveway.

I could barely keep my excitement in. I ran out of my car and up the stairs. I pushed the doors open to my place, unable to enter normally. Chris was still in the kitchen. The dogs greeted me, but I couldn't pay attention to them, now. I needed to tell Chris the big news. Chris entered into the room with shocked look. I couldn't help but laugh. His shock faded to confusion. I stood in the doorway with the doors still open, feeling the breeze hit my back.

"Chris, I'm pregnant. I went to the doctor today. The doctors gave us a misdiagnosis. I didn't lose the baby! I'm 6 weeks pregnant!" The words ran out of my mouth. My eyes were wide, and I quickly regained my breath. Chris took a couple seconds to take it all so I started to walk towards him. As he started to realize what I had said his face change. I stopped in my spot, only a few feet away from him, admiring the excitement that entered his expressions. He came running to me and lifted me in the air.

Chris POV

"YOURE PREGNANT!" My heart raced as I ran to her. I hear her giggling as I lift her in the air and hug her tightly. I was so utterly excited. Her arms wrapped around my neck. I lowered her body back to the ground, not having anymore strength to hold her. We stay in this position effortless hugging each other. Melissa moves her arms so that they are tightly around her waist.

"I'm pregnant!" she whispers softly into my ear as her cheek rests on my shoulder. I lean back so I can see her face and she lifts her head so that our faces are only inches away. I, then, lean in and kiss her. I feel her kiss me back passionately. No words could explain how I felt. I felt so connected in this one amazing moment with Melissa, knowing that this would be the beginning of everything I had ever wanted. I wanted Melissa and that would never change, but now that she was pregnant, I felt something I had never felt before. I would be a father to our child. It gave me an overwhelming warm. Melissa tilted her head back separating us. I felt my smile come across my face from thinking of this.

I pulled away from her and unwrapped my arms from her waist. I looked at into her beautiful blue eyes and then squatted down so that I was at the level of her stomach. I put both hands on her stomach. I heard her start to giggle.

"Hello my beautiful baby. I cannot wait to see you." I said to my baby inside Melissa's stomach. I put my lips on my stomach quickly to express my love for my child.

"I saw the baby." She said as I straighten out my legs. " I have an appointment next week, too. Will you come with me?" I wrapped my arms round her waist once again and looked down into her eyes. I gave her a mysterious look which lead her to giggle some more.

"I should have been at this one." I joked lovingly.

"I-" I interrupted her with a quick passionate kiss that made her smile. I pulled back and laughed as she looked at me. "Did you know our baby is only a blueberry?" Melissa said moving away from me and reaching out her hand for me to grab and follow.

"You don't say?" I say trying to hold back my smile.
