MEL POV
I spent most of the morning crying. I thought this was how my day would be, then I heard Oliver stir upstairs. We heard him make his way downstairs and I tried to clean myself up. He saw right through me though. He came running to me immediately, not fazed by the fact that Chlyer was here.

"Mama! Mama." He said concerned as I picked him up and put him on my lap. I was sitting on the couch in my pajamas, no wonder he was worried.

"It's okay, buddy." I sigh and look down at his beautiful face, seeing the features that resembled Chris, "I have grandma coming over to get you."

"No work?" He asked confused, trying to hide his disappointment. He wasn't quite old enough to go to school yet, so he usually still came to set with me.

"Yeah, baby." I show him a half smile through my heartbreak, "No work, today."

"Why do you cry?" He asked showing he was a little upset with how I looked.

"Mama isn't feeling good," He was more alarmed than comforted with my words, "but I'll be okay." Just as I finished there was a knock at the door. My mom busted through, not waiting for us to answer.

"Melissa, I-" I cut her off so she wouldn't say anything about Chris. I stood with Ollie still in my arms.

"Mom, thanks coming." I tell her. Then I turn my face so I can see Oliver, "Go get your backpack of toys, baby." I set him down and watch him go speeding up the stairs. I turned my gaze to my mother and as I see her, a tear drops down my cheek.

"Mel," My mom started, but again I cut her off by walking over to her. I stop a few feet in front of her before leaning into her warm embrace. I feel a sob escape into my mother's shoulder. I feel her grasp around my body tighten. After a few seconds, I regain some of my composure.

"Don't say anything to Oliver;" my voice shakes, "And please stay in your house for the day. Please." I begged her, my voice not sounding strong.

"Of course, baby." My mom said hugging tighter and I continued to cry into her shoulder until I heard footsteps coming from the stairs.

I wiped away the tears, quickly as my mom releases her embrace. I give Oliver a quick kiss, when he stops in front of me. My mother takes Oliver into her arms and I watch as they make their way out the door. I see Chlyer walk towards the window to make sure that they made it to the car safely.

I reposition myself on the couch, and Chlyer sits beside me. The worst part of this was that Chris has even tried to text or call. He had to be hearing about this. No more tears fall, instead my anger begins to build. I turned to face Chlyer and her stare falls on me.

"I need to call him." I said bitterly.

"Are you sure you're ready?" Chlyer asked her voice low and comforting.

"Yes." Chlyer looked at me and handed me my phone. There were still no calls, no texts, nothing. My heart still broke knowing he hadn't tried to explain anything, yet.

I dialed the number even though I didn't need to because I had him on speed dial. The dial tone rang for a while before I heard his voice.

"Hey, Mel." He sounded so causal, calm, and happy. I couldn't help but feel a piece of my heart break. I held back the tears that had found their way back into my eyes. I tried to stay calm. I looked at Chlyer who was listening as it was on speaker phone.

"Mel?" Him saying my name just made me feel even worse. I felt my whole body go numb. He sounded so sweet and delightful, but he had cheated on me. He cheated on me, his wife. I wouldn't let someone treat me like this, not even the love of my life. It crushed me thinking of everything we had been through and he just swept it away.
