When they get back to the apartment Rory is in the bathroom and Jess is nervously pacing around.
"You ok?" Rory asks putting her arms around him.
"What if the Truncheon relocated to New York?"
"What?"
"Chris and I have been talking, we always have meetings in New York. Chris's parents live there and are always hounding him to come visit more. And I could be here more often or... we could get a place in Hartford," he says watching for her response.
"Jess..."
He steps back and takes her hand. "Rory, I love you. I know you wanted to take this slow, but we've been at it since we were seventeen. That's pretty dang slow." Reaching into his pocket, he grabs a little box and drops to one knee. "Lorelai Gilmore, will you marry me?"
