Much to the displeasure of the Guardians of the Academy and Headmistress Kirova, Lissa moved out of her secure dorm in the Moroi Quarters and into Kate's dorm in the Dhampir Quarters. Having found a blood warning drawn onto the wall in the small living area that seperated Lissa and Natalie's dorms, they decided that it was the best option.

Rather, Kate took Lissa to her dorm and the following night threatened Headmistress Kirova that either Lissa stayed in her dorm with her, or Kate would break them out of the Academy.

Despite wanting to get back at the people that blood-painted the wall of the living area, Lissa decided against returning to her old ways, knowing that she would get lost in the games that they played and the forsaken mentality that she'd broken away from.

Something that Kate was much thankful for.

But despite that, and after finding out that the culprit behind the messages was a blonde tiny girl, Lissa decided that she was going to get her revenge on Mia, seeing as the highroad wasn't working. The only problem was that Kate didn't know what Lissa's plan was, she was purposefully not thinking about it and blocking Kate from her mind.

Christian thought that, much like Rose Hathaway would've done, Kate was going to prevent Lissa from talking to any Moroi, him included, despite previously having been shown otherwise, Christian, like so many peers, was waiting for Kate to suddenly turn into a control freak and mean girl. So when he found Dhampir in the church attic wating for him, and begging him to act as a silent watcher of the blonde Princess, he was beyond shocked. Kate had all but fallen on her knees, pressed her hands together as she voiced her concerns for the Princess's well-being, stating that she needed to always be protected.

Christian, not understanding completely, had questioned why, and that's when Kate's features turned dark, her locked hands fell to her laps as an almost daunting expression grew on her features. He almost swore that her eyes had flashed scarlet red, before she got up, jaw clenched and narrowed and disappointed eyes, and walked away.

Lissa started using compulsion her colleagues, a small number at first. Making them exclude Mia from their activities, even if it backfired slightly when they then approached Lissa and requested she spend time with them.

She continued to do it nonetheless. She wanted Mia to feel insignificant because of her actions, she wanted her to suffer, and greatly, it almost gave the blonde Princess a sensation of glee whenever she saw the blondebaby barbie looking degected.

As Lissa watched the fruit of her labours pan out before her, one night a week after she had started, her ex-boyfriend approached her.

"Hey Liss..." Aaron's voice was almost like a ghost, envoking no feelings of happiness and love like it once did. No longer making her want to smile and hold onto his hand, show him off as if she'd won the Human lottery.
