Kate stumbled, the effects of the chloroform seeping through the bond and making her own body feel heavy. But no one noticed, the three Morois were too busy being scared of Dimitri to notice anything else.
Kate didn't want to be the bearer of bad news, again, to Dimitri, but at the same time, she knew that she was most likely the only person, at the moment, who would be able to snap Dimitri out of his angry trance.
Unfortunately, she was also angry, the two idiots, had not only disrespected a Dhampir that had barely glanced twice in their direction, but they also endangered the Princess, her Princess and said Dhampir. At least, in her mind, there was no doubt that it hadn't been them who orchestrated this kidnap.
Before she could stop herself, and before she could be stopped, Kate walked towards the two Morois while Dimitri was still growling at them, with the Headmistress holding him back, then, which shocking precision, she threw a punch, at an angle that it hit the two Morois, causing them both to stumble.
"Where did you two take them?" Kate growled at them, as Dimitri and Kirova turned to her shocked.
"Who?" Jesse groaned in pain, surprised how someone like Kate could nearly break his jaw.
"Lissa and Viktoria!" Kate insisted, grabbing his collar and forcing him to look back at her.
Jesse frowned, despite his fear. He now understood why Strigoi made from Dhampirs were dangerous, well not completely, but he could see the anger, the drive in Kate's eyes and he knew that if she were ever to become a Strigoi, that it would be 10 times worse.
"We didn't take them anywhere." Ralf grumbled, clutching his jaw, as he looked at Kate, confused by her accusation. Kate continued to look into Jesse's eyes, trying to see if Ralf was lying, if Jesse knew something.
"Katerina?" Dimitri questioned, frowning as he looked at her angry and tense figure.
Kirova, for her part, was too stunned by everything that was happening to be able to react to anything. She'd never been threatened by a Dhampir, in all her years of being Headmistress had she dealt with as much drama as she was dealing with now.
"Someone kidnapped them." Kate huffed as she pushed Jesse away from her angrily, her hand moving to run through her hair in exasperation.
Dimitri stiffened at her words, understandably so.
"I'll send Guardians to look for-" Kirova started, turning away from the deadly Dhampirs to head to the phone on her desk to be able to contact Alberta, who was the on in charge of the Protection Detail that evening.
"We'll look for them." Dimitri countered, clenching and unclenching his fists, which was an action that was incredibly hot, or would've been if Kate weren't so caught up in her own anger, "We move faster than a group of Dhampirs."
