Never feeling like they belonged was a feeling that Lissa Dragomir lived with, even with her family and life long best friend, although they aided in that feeling not being so strong...

Dimitri lost count of which places he'd kissed on Kate's skin, how many times he gripped her thighs as they held onto him, how many times he'd gotten her to sink her nails into his skin.
But he didn't lose count of the many times his name and nickname fell from her lips in his mother tongue.
He also found out that her moans were his new favourite sound, that her skin was one of his new favourite tastes, and for once, Dimitri understood the Strigoi's obsession with necks, because the sounds that Kate let out as he dragged his lips and teeth across her skin, were simply the best sounds he'd ever heard anyone make.
Was it risky? Absolutely, but the fact that Kate clawed at his clothes just as much as he was trying to get her dress off, he knew that she was confident that nothing would happen. Although he had found the stake under her dress hilarious, he had loved the way her eyes darkened and seemed to glow with that strange glow as he dragged her modified stake garter off her leg.
He also loved the way pleas that fell from her lips were either in Russian or in Turkish.
The Equinox Dance had officially begun not long prior, aas they laid on his bed catching their breaths. Dimitri felt like his body was spent, too heavy to even move, while Kate laid beside him, with her head on his chest breathing almost evenly, almost as if she'd finished one of their training sessions.
Dimitri's hand continued to trace her side, gently and ghostly touching her almost healed ribs, while Kate's palm was pressed over the spot where the stake had pierced his skin the same day he bruised her ribs, it was strange that it was healing way faster than a normal bruise on a Dhampir, which was already faster than on a Human, but he chose not to question it.
Dimitri knew that he should feel guilty, that he shouldn't have kissed, much less basically devoured a student at the Academy he was working in, that he was older than her by 6 years, theoretically 5 years, 11 months and 25 days, not that he'd been obsessing about the gap.
But as soon as their lips had touched before even reaching his quarters, he knew that he wouldn't be able to stop, which had been true for the most part, with the only exceptions of him stopping because of the burn on one of Kate's thighs, which he'd asked her to tell him the story behind before kissing it, the stake and garter, which had them both laughing with Kate challenging him to do the same thing, and when both of them apologised again for the injuries they'd given the other.
"You're overthinking again." Kate told him as she turned her head towards him, her chin on his pec while she looked at him.
Dark forest green was also Dimitri's new favourite colour.
