It didn't take long, after Kate was able to walk for both girls to get ready, Lissa threw on a army green shirt over the top she was already wearing, grey khakis, a pair of old white trainers and a moss green winter coat while Kate threw on a pair of black jeans, a grey long sleeved shirt with a big cleavage, a pair of old white trainers and a black leather jacket.
"I'm so hungry I could eat a whole store of waffles and pancakes" Kate confessed, in a low tone as to not wake up Jeremy, as she met back with Lissa in the living room, the pale blonde girl simply laughed and stood up from the couch, having been tying her tennis shows, Lissa grabbed her multi-coloured backpack while Kate carefully pulled the bookcase from the its spot covering the front door, sliding it slowly and carefuly.
Lissa reached for the door handle and pulled it open gently while Kate left Jeremy a note informing him of their early departure to the diner. A cold breeze flooeded the entrance of the apartment, which made Kate laugh as the pale blonde Moroi shivered as a reaction. "It's not funny, it's cold." Lissa complained, which only further made Kate laugh.
"Oh come on Liss, you know it starts getting cold in October." the brunette countered with a smile as she grabbed her black bag. Her words made Lissa roll her eyes and stepped out into the cold corridor, leaving Kate to follow her while locking the door behind them.
"So are we getting waffles and pancakes and hot drinks or something else?" Lissa inquired once they were inside the descending elevator.
"Hot chocolate, pancakes and waffles." Kate agreed, her stomach rumbling at the thought of the delicious food, Lissa hummed in agreement with their soon to be order, as she too was now craving a piece of heaven on a plate.
The whole walk to the diner, that the girls knew to be open at this unholy hour was filled with laughter and teasing, and soon enough the girls found themselves sitting in a booth, Kate, who was facing the door, had a plate pancakes with berries and syrup and a mug with steaming hot chocolate, while Lissa, who was facing Kate, had a plate of waffles also with berries and syrup and also a mug of steaming hot chocolate.
"We are definitely getting fat." Lissa fake cried, the food on her plate mesmerizing her. She'd finally grown able to eat larger portions that those that were fed to Morois back at the Academy.
"Speak for yourself missy, I don't just work out in gym class, I actually work out to protect your skinny Moroi ass." Kate sassed with a smile on her lips before both dove into their early breakfasts.
"Did you think that the Maths homework was difficult?" Lissa inquired as she took a sip of her half finished hot chocolate.
"I always think maths is difficult Liss, it's maths." Kate answered, placing her silverwear flat on the plate, sneakily glancing at the door of the diner, keeping an eye out for threats. She could see from the open blinds that the sun was beginning to slowly pass the top of the buildings, gracing the usually darkest locations with hints of light.
