Never feeling like they belonged was a feeling that Lissa Dragomir lived with, even with her family and life long best friend, although they aided in that feeling not being so strong...

To say that Lissa Dragomir had never seen Mason Ashford bouncing off the walls as if he'd drank 100 caffeinated drinks, therefeore by association, neiher had Kate. A week had passed since the Queen's visit, since Kate's birthday, since Lissa's plan for revenge started, and as if the school year wasn't interesting enough, the new that two Promised Guardians were visiting the Academy spread like wildfire.
"Mason, you're going to trip down the bloody stairs." Christian called out to the ascending Dhampir, only to hear him groan a few moments later. "I told you." Christian called out once more.
Sunday, November 10th, started calmly and normally for everyone except Mason Ashford, and it had been a pain in everyone's ass, but none more that Christian Ozera's who'd been left on Mason babysitting duties, since Kate had extra training with Dimitri and Lissa was taking 'tutoring' sessions from the other Royals that she'd been compelling to turn against Mia.
"Where are the girls?" Mason questioned in a hoarse and pained tone, looking around the attic of the chapel, rubbing his side that had hit the stairs when he tripped.
"Not here." Christian replied in his typical sarcastic tone, which annoyed most people, Mason included, although Mason was learning to understand that there were very few times in which Christian wasn't sarcastic.
"Okay, let me rephrase that, where is Kate?" Mason corrected, approaching the Ozera Moroi. Christian looked up from his book with the most calm deadpan look on his face, as if silently questioning if Mason was messing with him.
"Where do you think she is, on a Sunday dusk?" Christian mocked, unable to hold back his typical snark.
Even though Christian was socializing even more, or rather was being recruited by Katherine Alastair to keep an eye on Lissa, and recruited by Lissa to act as a buffer between Lissa's plan and Kate's discovery of said plan, he somehow found himself with 3 new friends that he didn't seem able to shake off.
"The gym with the Russian God?" Mason, correctly, deducted, only for Christian to nod before closing the book that he'd been reading and question.
"Why are you hyper tonight?"
The question had Mason's bright and big warm smile return to his lips, "My mom's visiting the Academy with one of her friends." he replied before checking his watch and running back out of the room, leaving a still confused Christian in the attic.
There were many differences between Dhampir and Moroi's, the main one being that usually Dhampirs were the product of a female Dhampir and a male Moroi, and while not always the case, most of the Dhampirs were raised by loving mother, and that was exactly the case with Mason.
