Chapter Fourty Eight

Mione POV
It has been 6 days since the majority of the school left for the Christmas holidays and we are all rushing around like headless chickens trying to get the great hall decorated for tomorrow night. Luna, Ginny and I have already got our dresses for the evening and are just putting the final touches to the Great Hall well except the food which will be cooked in the morning.

The next morning, I woke up feeling refreshed and walk out to the head's kitchenette and start to prepare breakfast for them and Harry as I told him to join us instead of eating in the common room. Oh, you may be a little confused, Professor McGonagall gave us permission to have breakfast sent to each common room by the house elves instead of having it in the Great Hall because we wanted to be prepared and had everything finished for this evening.

Harry arrive 10 minutes after I had finished the bacon and pancakes but I was cooking the eggs. I quickly asked the founders to let him in and finished the eggs. "Good morning Harry, sleep well?" I asked before he had even finished climbing through the door. "Morning. I did thank you, Mione, how about you?" He replied, "Not too badly but I didn't stop worrying about the ball, to be honest." He just chuckled and muttered typically Mione which resulted in him getting a slap to the head. (Video above of the slap)

I quickly finished off the food and then went to get everyone else, Harry and I waited for everyone else to arrive before eating our breakfast. We finished breakfast at half eight and is girls didn't need to get ready until 5 pm which gave us 2 hours to get ready for the ball. Everyone just had fun playing different games to past the time. When it hit 5 pm Ginny grabbed Luna and I and ran to Draco's and my room as we had put all the stuff there and the boys are getting ready in Ginny's and Bay's room.

After two hours of hair tugging, pins, brush strokes, a few burns and yelling a lot of yelling. We were all finally ready. Ginny wore a stunning black dress that had a deep v at the front and a slit on the right-hand side that went to mid-thigh, with a pair of black heels and her hair was in a half-up half-down fashion. Luna wore an off the shoulder green dress that had buttons running down the front of the dress with a small slit at the front, with a black pair of heels and her hair as curled over to the left. I wore a black dress with flower-like straps over my shoulder to the back with a pair of cream coloured heels and my hair was in a low elegant braided bun. We all had light makeup on.
