Chapter 3 - Getting Busy

Flash forward to Monday, David's first school day. David just received his class schedule yesterday and now it's time for him to put in the work. He is put in the following classes

History 1
Math 1
Science 1
For elective: Physical Ed

Unfortunately for David, he won't be sharing these classes with his roommates, mainly because they were second years at the time. Classes started at 9:15 am, but David was up way before that. At around 7:15 am, David got out of bed and did 20 minutes of stretching and 20 minutes of cardio. When he saw that it was 7:55 am, he got on his uniform. Five minutes later, his roommates woke up. Jack popped his head out first and noticed David reading a book.

"Wha? David, you're already awake and dressed?"

David nods "Yup, just brushed my teeth two minutes ago, too."

Although Jack just woke up, he was surprised. Soon after, everyone got up and ready, David was still reading at the time, but he could feel his hunger grow to a point where he can't ignore it.

"Er, hey, you guys almost done?"

Collot and Miguno were still brushing their teeth, Jack was tying his tie, Durham was buttoning up his vest, Voss was already done, and Legosi just finished putting on his shoes. Durham gave a smirk when he answered David

"Yeah, we know you're hungry, we can hear your stomach from here. That's just what happens when you wake up early."

David shook his head "Eh, not really, I'm just used to the doctors feeding me soon after my stretches and cardio."

Legosi's ears perked "Huh? You had people feed you? Like... how?"

"Well, not the way you're thinking. They just gave the food to me, they weren't going to feed a child they know nothing about like all the other babies in your society."

Collot and Miguno chuckled at the thought of baby David being fed through a bottle. About 5 minutes later, they all walked to breakfast. It was only David's third day and he's still the one students are talking about. The majority of opinions of him are mixed, some good and some bad. A few say:

"I hear he can run farther than 10 kilometers and still not get tired."

"What a weirdo, he has this thing where he doesn't pant, he just has these weird droplets pour out of his body. That's so gross!"

"Did you know David was an islander? I wonder what that is like."

Those were just a few opinions out of many. During breakfast, David was approached by two students wearing Press badges. A female lynx and a male water buffalo. The lynx had a notepad and the water buffalo had a camera. The lynx spoke to David

"Mr. David, I'm Rebecca Fink of the Cherryton news. May we ask you a few questions?"

David was unsure but gave a nod as he chewed his food. The water buffalo proceeded to take a picture of David as Rebecca asked a question

"First question, what are your thoughts about Cherryton?"

David swallowed his food first and then answered

"I think it's a very nice school, very interesting, too. Most of the other students seem nice and I have yet to know what the classes are like, but I assume they must be nice, too."

Rebecca wrote down David's answer

"Ok, second question, is it true you leak when performing physical activities?"

David chuckles "Yes, yes it is, but as weird as it is, you could just call it my version of panting."
