Chapter 5 - Encore

As two days pass, David looked forward to getting closer to the play even more every minute that went by. As David walked ahead of his roommates on his way to breakfast, Jack spoke to Legosi

"David looks like he's smiling more often. I think you got him excited after letting him be part of the drama club!"

Legosi keeps his eyes on David while still talking to Jack

"I think it's just because it's something new he's doing. I mean, backstage isn't much to have fun around in, but for him it's like it means more."

David's smile felt contagious to most of the students he passes by, it was as though if the minority was happy, they're doing something right, and that makes them feel good inside. Butch watches David from behind as he trails him. The way David was affecting his fellow classmates made Butch clench his fists in jealousy.

Later on after breakfast with his roommates, he was walking with them until they had to go to their separate classes, but then an announcement sounded on the intercom

"Attention, Students. Today we are having environment time and we ask that you attend to your respective rooms."

David raises an eyebrow in curiosity as he thinks out loud

"Environment time? I heard about it, what is it about?"

Legosi was standing next to David at the time and decided to answer David's question for him

"It's like where we enter a room of our natural territory."

Legosi points at a door with a orange lizard on it

"That's the territory for types of lizards who spend time out in the sun."

Next Legosi points at a door with a light blue wolf on it

"That room is for white wolves whose territory is mostly cold."

David points at a door with a grey wolf on it and asks

"What about that one?"

"That's the wolf territory room. That's where I would sit."

David looks at the door before looking at Legosi

"Can I go in that room with you?"

Legosi didn't think David would want to, considering he just said it was for wolves, but after a bit of considering, Legosi held the door open to the wolf territory room for David. As David walked in, he was amazed when he looked up at the ceiling. There was a glow in the dark moon put on the ceiling. Legosi sat on a bench and David sat next to him, but still looked up at the moon. Legosi looked at David, who was concerned for David's neck at the time, but he grew worried when two tears streamed down David's face. Legosi said to David

"D-David! Are you ok?"

Legosi had no idea David could create tears in such a way. David stops looking at the moon and wipes his tears away as he took a deep breath.

"I'm sorry... it happens when I... just get sad."

Legosi felt unsure but he asked David his question anyway

"How could the moon make you sad?"

David leans forward and looks down at the ground to calm down, then he sits up and says

"It Just reminds me of my old life..."

Legosi lets David think to himself for a few more minutes to let him grieve, even though Legosi doesn't know the old memories David has. After territory time was over, Legosi still felt worried for David.
