Chapter 6 - 2nd Year

After summer break, the day back to school could not start out any better. The birds were heading chirping, the flowers were still at bloom for now, and on a day like this, someone like David needs to get up and do his early morning stretches. You can guess where David spent his summer break and where else but the facility. Fortunately, David didn't spend it taking tests, just doing anything fun he wanted to, such as swimming, playing video games, reading, and painting. There have been times where David's roommates would ask to hangout with David and they would do all sorts of activities as well, like go jogging in the park or go see a movie. Although, if David had to say who he spent his summer with the most, it'd have to be Legosi. They didn't spend more than a day every week at the start of their summers, but the more time they spent, the closer they got. Legosi has been slightly more optimistic than last year, but mostly around David. Coming back to school and being roommates again with their other friends made summer feel like a lifetime, one could dream for a summer that long. Instead of taking a limo to Cherryton, David was driven to school by Henry. David looks out the window and watch passing buildings go by as Henry talks to him

"Are you excited to be back in school, David? I bet all of your friends missed you!"

David smiles from the thought of seeing his old roommates, all but Legosi he hasn't seen for a couple of months "I missed them too! It was great doing things with Legosi though!"

Henry has a concerned expression as David talks behind him "You sure do hang out with that wolf a lot."

"I know he's a carnivore, but I promise you he's a good guy! He wouldn't harm a fly!" David then gives a smile of reassurance to Henry. Henry raises an eyebrow because he's unsure to trust Legosi. Not because he's a carnivore, but because he feels intimidated towards Legosi. Shortly after, David arrives at the school and he exits Henry's car. Henry rolls down the window to talk to David

"Don't forget to call me sometime this week, ok?"

David gets his bag out of Henry's car trunk and says as he walks and waves goodbye to Henry with a smile

"I promise I will! You'll know all about my week!"

David, along with other new and old students, walked past the Cherryton school gates. David looks around to find either his friends or the office to receive his new schedule, but David accidentally makes eye contact with some of the new students who were confused as to what David was, but David just chuckles and keeps walking. Suddenly, someone from behind grabs David's collar. David knew just who would do this out of nowhere, it was Bill.

"Oi, David! Welcome back to Cherryton, man!"

Bill puts David in a noogie as they both laugh in their good time

"How ya been? I never thought the next time I'd be seeing you was when you're a junior!"

David breaks out of the noogie and laughs some more

"I'm doing great, Bill! It's good to see you again! What did you do over your summer?"

Bill shrugs as he thinks of it as no big deal "Eh, nothin' much. Just some hiking. You?"

"I hung out with friends mostly."

Bill smiles "Nice!"

Bill was about to say something else, but then he sees a female Bengal Tiger. Presumably she's a new student. Bill is immediately drawn to her attractive nature and says

"Oh hello, heheh. Hey, uh, I'll catch you later, David! See you at tomorrow's drama club meeting!"

Bill goes to introduce himself to the female tiger and left David with new information on a meeting tomorrow. David resumes going to the office and got hold of his new classes.
