It had been a week since Emma and Mason had got back together, a week since Emma had broken the heart of the person she really loved, a week since Emma and Anneliese had stopped talking, but a week since Anneliese had had an eye on Mason and Emma to see what the 'couple' was hiding.

In college, Emma continued to be uncomfortable and refuse any affection that came from Mason and also refused to hug or kiss him, which was not very normal since they were now a couple. Emma's reactions were completely genuine and when she tried kiss him or hug him, it seemed forced.

Anneliese was always chatting with Kai explaining what she saw and both had already come to the conclusion that it was awkward and forced, now all that was missing was the reason that led Emma to break up with Suho and go back to Mason and be in this forced relationship that only brought discomfort to Emma and those around them.

It was the second class of the day, Emma was walking to her classroom with Mason who had his arm over her shoulders, when they arrived in the room and everyone entered, before Emma could enter the room the boy pulled her aside.

"What now?" Emma asks. Mason pulls Emma up against the wall and puts his arm in front of her.

"If you don't start collaborating people will start thinking something is wrong." Mason says. "I'm getting a little tired of your attitude." He runs his hands through the girl's hair, she strays to the side.

"I'm sorry if I can't pretend to love you." She forces a smile and rolls her eyes.

"Then try harder."

"Or what?"

"You'll regret it. I don't make empty promises, Emma." Mason remembers the girl. Some students walk down the hall and Mason smiles and looks at Emma as soon as they pass Emma passes under Mason's arm and looks at him.

"You got yourself into this situation. What were you expecting?" Emma asks crossing her arms. "You made me break up with the person I like and you thought I'd come back happy for you?"

"Cry me a fucking river, Emma." He replies, rolling his eyes.

"Your problem then." Emma shrugs and Mason takes his phone out of his pocket, turns it over to Emma and scrolls through the videos. Emma with her wide-eyed eyes turns her gaze away from the phone and looks at Mason.

"Maybe I shouldn't have threatened to send the videos to your family." Mason starts, as he smiles and walks towards her. "I should have said I'd sent them to your little boyfriend." He puts his phone back in his pocket.

"Leave him out of this." Emma asks.

"Try harder and I won't."

The girl sighed deeply and shaking her head, ready to go to class Mason pulls her by the arm to give her a kiss and she does so. He waves his hand to the girl and she enters the room sitting once again at the last table in the room and away from Rhea.

The day had gone as usual but for Emma it seemed as if it had gone even slower. Always after classes, Emma would go meet Mason and his group of friends that she always hated, as well as Anneliese because they were all in her class and she couldn't stand any of them, and Mason would always accompany her to the class afterwards, it seemed that she couldn't be alone and Anneliese started noticing that, if she wanted to talk to Emma, in college it was out of the question because that piece of trash would always be glued to her.

Classes were over, it was the day Emma had classes until 6pm and Mason was waiting for her to take her home. When she left the building and saw Mason she sighed deeply, the girl was really expecting him to go home since his classes were over early.

They walked quietly to Emma's house and when they reached the gate of her house, Emma simply entered the house without saying anything to the boy or saying goodbye to him as he had expected. She took a deep breath and looked back seeing Anneliese sitting on the couch talking to her parents. She looked confused at her friend and her parents.

"What's going on here?" Emma asks as she puts her backpack on the floor.

"Anneliese came to see you but she forgot that it's the day of the week you always get out late from classes." Her mother answers while she places a plate of cookies on the table. She straightens up and puts her hands on her waist looking at her daughter. "Also, what kind of attitude is that? No 'hello'? That's not how I raised you."

Emma just shook her head at what her mother said and made a sign for Anneliese to follow her to her room. The girls went upstairs and entered Emma's room. Anneliese sat in her desk chair while she watched Emma remove her coat.

"What brought you here? I thought we weren't talking anymore." Emma asks by hanging her coat on the hanger and Anneliese spins on the chair.

"I want you to finally spill it out." Anneliese replies. Emma turns around to face her. "I saw you and Mason, that's not a couple who loves each other."

"There's nothing to say." Emma says as she sits on her bed. Anneliese rolls her eyes. "I just haven't been on my best days. A lot of assignments and tests."

"It amazes me how you think I'm freaking stupid." Anneliese crosses her arms and shakes her head. Emma frown. "I saw how you act with Mason, you look all uncomfortable when he touches you, when he tries to kiss you. Are you going to tell me that's normal? Because I don't act that way with Kai." Emma remains quiet and takes a deep breath, not looking at her friend.

"He's blackmailing me." Emma reveals. "That's what you wanted, right? The truth. So there you go." Anneliese looks confused at Emma, not understanding what Mason could have against Emma.

"Blackmailing with what? What does he have against you? You never hurt a fly." Anneliese asks, still confused.

"Explicit videos that he recorded without me knowing."

"Explicit videos?" Anneliese confirms what she heard, Emma nods. "Did he record you when you slept together?"

"He told me to break up with Suho and go back to him so he wouldn't publish them." Emma explains. "So I did."

"You're coming with me." Anneliese says getting up from her chair and walking towards Emma's closet taking off the girl's coat again and throwing it at her. Emma grabs the coat, confused.

"What- Where?"

"We're going to the police station. That's a crime, Emma." Anneliese was getting ready to leave the girl's room and Emma sighs not getting out of bed.

"That's not gonna change anything, Liz." Emma says. "His family is powerful enough to get him out of trouble and if he knows I went to the police he'll publish everything."

"They're not powerful enough to protect him from getting that on his record."
