Chapter Eight

The girls had spent the whole day in the pool and in the afternoon they went for a walk around the city, to see some shops in the area and stopped at a café for a shake. Emma's mobile phone ringtone went off, the girl puts her milkshake on the table and takes her phone out of her purse. Suho.

"Hey, what's up?" Emma says as soon as she answers the call.

"Hey. I hope I'm not bothering you, I just ended my shift and could only call you now." Suho says.

"No worries, I'm not doing anything important."

"And are you busy tonight?" He asks.

"If I'm busy tonight?" Emma repeats Suho's question and looks at Anneliese who quickly got all excited. "No. Why?"

"I was thinking that maybe we could go out together?"

"Huh yeah sure, what time?" Emma asks.

"Around 8? I can pick you up from the resort for dinner."

Emma finished the call saying goodbye to Suho and put her phone back in her bag. As soon as she laid eyes on her best friend, she started laughing. Anneliese crossed her legs and her two arms resting on the table with her smoothie in front waiting for Emma to speak.

"I'm waiting for the details. Suho asked you out?" Anneliese asks by sipping her drink through the straw.

"Yes. Yes, he did." Emma replies, chuckling.

"I can't believe you already wowed the man." The blonde girl says. Emma rolls her eyes.

"As friends."

"Friends. Sure. I'll give Suho a few days to change that." She says and Emma gets a little embarrassed.

"You bet what you want, it won't happen." Emma continues to deny it.

"Sure it won't."

Anneliese shrugged, grabbing her smoothie the girl stood up. She stretched out her free hand for Emma to grab and they left. Although it was still time for Suho to pick up the girl from the resort, as she always took a long time to get dressed, Anneliese decided to go back there straight away.

"I don't know what to wear." The girl groans while kneeling at the foot of her suitcase, she leans forward, sticking her head in the pile of clothes.

"I thought you were going out just 'as friends'. You never have this kind of struggles when you go out with me." Anneliese teases, chuckling.

"And it is as friends. But I used this for the pool today." Emma answers her friend, getting up and continuing to stir her clothes in search of something.

"Then grab anything. I'm sure it doesn't matter how you go, right?" Anneliese shrugs sitting on the couch while she looks at Emma's despair.

"Oh my God, Liz. Just help me pick something." Emma throws a piece of clothing at Anneliese, who was trying not to laugh.

"Then admit I'm right and I'll help you." Anneliese says.

"About what?"

"About Suho. This is not just a hanging out with a friend. This is a date!" Anneliese answers by getting up from the couch, crossing her arms in front of Emma.

"Fine. It's a date. Now, help me."

The blonde laughed at her friend's despair, but happy to hear what she wanted from her friend's mouth. She knelt beside Emma looking for something for the girl to wear. They ended up taking off a strapless white dress with some yellow flowers all over it with a denim jacket.

Choosing clothes for Emma was a task that took hours. Everything she tried, she said no. She'd brought most of the wardrobe on vacation, and yet she still had dilemmas of 'I have nothing to wear'." Anneliese helped her with the necklace and looked at her wristwatch. It was almost 8 o'clock.

Suho enters the resort lobby, arrived slightly earlier than he scheduled. He was feeling anxious and nervous for some reason. The boy is awakened from his thoughts by Kai who called him from the reception as soon as he saw him, Suho turns around and smiles at his friend, walking towards him.

"Hey man, what's the occasion?" Kai asks, shaking his friend hand

"I'm going out for dinner with Emma."

"You must really be into her. I've never seen you so well dressed to go out with a girl." He chuckles, teasing Suho.

"She's a nice girl." Suho starts. "I want to get to know her better but I won't push it since you know, she got out off a relationship not too long ago." Kai nodded his head and sat back in the chair.

"At least she agreed to go out with you. I hope you both have fun."

"Thank you. But what about you? What are you waiting for?" Suho asks referring to Anneliese, but Kai didn't understand.

"For my shift to end?" He asks confused. "What are you talking about?" Suho rolls his eyes.

"Don't act dumb. You know exactly what I'm talking about. Anneliese? Does that name remind you of someone?" Suho asks.

Kai bit his lip. It wasn't a lie that he was getting interested in Anneliese, but he never talks about feelings and girls after what happened in the past. Afraid of getting hurt again. Lucky for the boy, he look ahead and he sees Emma walking towards them.

"Yeah, the friend of the girl you're going out with who's right behind you." Kai points and makes Suho turn, he smiles when he sees Emma. She chuckles embarrassed and waves her hand.

"Hey, you look great. Are you ready to go?" Suho greets the girl with a kiss on the cheek and she shakes her head.

"Have fun. Emma, I want Suho home before eleven!" Kai jokes with his friends.

Suho turned his eyes by shaking his friend's head and put his hand on the underside of the girl's back, inviting her to walk next to him. Leaving the resort.

Anneliese lying on the king size bed of the resort which was super comfortable, in a clean pajamas after taking a long, peaceful shower and calling room service to order some food. The girl kept changing the TV channels, looking for something interesting to watch until they knocked on the door. The blonde gets up, thinking it's room service with the stuff she'd ordered. She was wrong. She opens the door seeing a boy with dark brown hair almost black, with his hand on the back of his neck. And the snacks she had ordered in the other hand.

"I heard you asked for room service and I thought I should bring it myself." Kai says. He stretches his hand with the snacks to the girl. She grabs and walks away from the door giving him space to enter. Kai closes the door as soon as he comes in.

"I thought your job was to be at the reception only." Anneliese comments by placing the things on the table. Kai chuckles.

"You have no notion of the functions I have in this resort." He says. Anneliese looks at him with a suspicious face but ends up thanking him.

"I guess I don't. Thank you though."

"So what you doing since Suho and Emma went on a date?" He asks curious.

"Nothing, my source of entertainment is gone. I'm just going to eat and watch something on TV I guess." She responds by going back to her room and sitting on the bed.

"Do you mind if I stay with you? Do me give me the honor of being your entertainment source when the main one is gone?" Kai asks while following her towards the bedroom.

"If your boss won't be mad at you for being at a guest's bedroom, you can." Anneliese says.

"He won't be a problem."
