Chapter Twelve

Anneliese had just dressed, she had left several messages for Emma, but eventually gave up believing that she was with Suho and was fine, and that the reason she didn't answer was because she was still sleeping. Looks like she'd have a day to herself.

She took her things and decided to go down for breakfast, passing by the resort lobby where she saw Kai looking more relaxed, he looked sleepy, for sure before leaving home he didn't even look in the mirror because his hair was all messy. The blonde decided to go and say hello to him before having breakfast.

"Good morning. Rough night?" Anneliese chuckles looking at his state. Kai looks at the girl and shakes his head.

"Morning Liz, I overslept." He explains.

"That explains a lot. Your hair is all over the place." She points out. Kai groans.

"I can't believe none of my colleagues told me." He says by turning the chair both ways looking at his colleagues laughing at him.

"Do you want me to fix it for you?" She offers and Kai shakes his head.

"What are you doing here so early?" He asked while waiting for Anneliese to fix his hair. She shrugged and walked away from him, he smiled. "Thank you."

"Oh, Emma didn't come back to the resort last night. I was bored." Anneliese reveals, making the young man giggle.

"I see Suho's not the only one missing. Are you going to spend the day alone?"

"Yes. Well, at least until she comes back. If she ever comes back, I think she's enjoying the company." She nods. She wouldn't mind spending the day without Emma if she was nice and happy.

"I guess Suho's panic was all in vain." He whispers to himself. "Well, what if you go for breakfast and then we can go out together? You pick the place." He gets up from his chair and smiles at the girl. She frowned.

"But aren't you working? When does your shift end?" She asks as she follows Kai with her gaze. He went around the counter and leaned next to her.

"Don't worry about it. I make it work." He guarantees.

"Don't get in trouble. I'll be quick, don't go anywhere without me."

The two had left the resort and spent the morning practically together. They visited other hidden streets that were quite beautiful but not very crowded by tourists, passed by several street stalls, people selling handmade jewelry, or even those typical "I love Thailand" tourist shirts. Anneliese took the opportunity to see some gifts to take to her parents and Rhea.

After walking and seeing more places, the couple started to get hungry and decided to stop at a restaurant nearby. The waiter had already taken their orders and retired to get the drinks. Kai's phone on the table vibrated and seconds later Anneliese's. They frowned and looked at each other and then at the phone. Anneliese flipped her phone seeing Emma's name, and Kai Suho's. They both started laughing and read the message of the two who said almost the same thing. "Sorry man, I fell asleep." Suho said in the message he sent to Kai; "Sorry!! I fell asleep at Suho's, my clothes were soaked and I had to wait for them to dry. See you at the resort." It was Emma's message to Anneliese, a little more elaborate than Suho's.

"Let me guess, that was Emma." Kai guesses while putting the phone back on the table. Anneliese giggles and shakes her head.

"It was. Did Suho text you?" Anneliese asks, he nods and look at the waiter who came back with the drinks. Kai politely thanked him.

"Yes. He said he overslept." Kai answers by grabbing the bottle of wine and putting some in the Anneliese glass.

"She said the same. I can't believe those two texted us the same thing." She says between laughter watching Kai's movements. He shakes his head.

"They spent the night together and have become one."

"I think it's safe to say that your friend has officially stolen my friend." Anneliese jokes.

"Sorry, but it was your friend who stole mine." Kai says putting down the bottle of wine and looking at the girl. She shrugs.

"I'm not going to argue about who stole who. But he did steal her." Anneliese says, having the last word and the reason.

"Well, he was all over her, so I don't care. He's happy and... I can go out with you."

"As long as I don't give you any trouble at the resort. I appreciate that you came with me today but I really hope that's not going to affect your work." Anneliese is genuinely concerned about Kai's work at the resort reception. He would come and go when he felt like it and even if he had a status above the rest, due to the difference in the staff's clothes, that shouldn't give him a free pass to do whatever he wanted. Kai bites his lip and sighs before he talks

"I told you, you don't have to worry about my work at the resort. Any time you want, just call me." Kai answers.

"You must have a really nice boss. Yet, I wonn't mind being alone." Anneliese points out, but shrugs.

"Eh, he's okay." He says. "But I don't want you to be alone, so if you'll allow me, I'd like to be with you more often." She shakes her head with a smile.

"You know where my room is, you can show up when you want. You even slept there, it's not unknown to you." Anneliese comments remembering the first date that Suho and Emma had together. Kai ended up falling asleep there while watching a movie. He was taken by surprise by the comment and started laughing.

Anneliese opened the suit door, had just returned from lunch with Kai and he went back to the reception, where Kai was all happy because he convinced the girl to go on a date with him on his next day off. As she entered the room she saw Emma in her pyjamas on her knees near her suitcase, tidying up her clothes as she had created a pile of clothes next to it for being so clumsy.

"Well well, look who's here. How was the night?" Anneliese asks while she puts her purse on the couch. Emma giggled

"Apart from the detail I must be getting sick, it was fun." She answers. She had been sneezing all morning.

"Are you having pregnancy symptoms already? Isn't it a bit too early?" The blonde girl laughs. Emma rolls her eyes.

"We had the idea of going swimming in our clothes last night." She says. She reveals and Anneliese with her eyes wide open realizing the connection.

"That explains the nice lingerie!" Anneliese says pointing her finger at the girl.

"It has nothing to do with it."

"Sure. Let's pretend I met you today and I don't know about how you pick the nice lingerie only in special occasions." She says it by rolling her eyes at her friend and her attempts to trick her.

"Do you want to keep talking about my lingerie or know what happened?" Emma stands up from the floor and crosses her arms. Anneliese sits on the edge of the bed and smiles. Waiting to know what happened between them.

"As much as I'd love to keep talking about it, I'm more interested about what happened."

"I kiss him. And we slept together." Emma reveals. While she sat in the chair in front of the blonde. Anneliese started clapping her hands, excited.

"Oh my god! You slept together?! Okay, but how was it?" She asks a bunch of questions. It was a lot of information and every detail was important. Well... Not all of it. Emma chuckles and nods.

"It was good. I really like him. It was worth the cold." Emma answers with a silly smile in the middle.

"Congratulations. You wowed the man and you got laid. You can't have better holidays than these. You're welcome."
