Chapter Fifty

A few months had passed since Suho and Emma adopted Milo. They had already spent Christmas with him, had dinner at home where they invited Emma's parents, while Anneliese and Kai spent with Anneliese's parents who had come on holiday to Denmark. And, as always, the four of them had all spent New Year's Eve together. 

Milo was the couple's furry baby, gave another life to the house and excitement to their life. The next morning Emma had taken Milo with her to work where she did some tests, found out more or less his age and saw that he had no chip. He was already an old dog, but both she and Suho were going to give him a lot of love until the end. After that she would have called Suho who had the day off to pick him up. 

Suho had taken the opportunity that day to go to Kai and Anneliese's house, where they got to know Milo and started talking about how Suho would propose to Emma. There was still a long way to go, he hadn't stopped to see rings yet, but it wouldn't be a problem since Anneliese already had about seven chosen and ready to go see. 

For Anneliese and Kai the months that passed were slightly painful. The blonde was in her sixth month, her pregnancy was progressively approaching her last trimester. The pregnancy became increasingly uncomfortable for Anneliese and it was time to start preparing for the birth, especially the decisions of who would accompany her and which hospital or maternity ward she would choose; but on the one hand they were satisfied, the baby had an incredible development, height and weight increased rapidly, the baby's heartbeat could be heard only with the ear. 

Suho and Emma were always in contact with the blonde and it was often Emma who accompanied the girl to the appointments since Kai was working, as was the case today, but it was not Emma who was going. It was morning, Kai was about to leave the house, just to put on his coat and Anneliese was still lying in bed. 

"You know I can't go with you to the appointment today, right?" Kai turns around looking at Anneliese, she nods. "Is Emma going?"

"I know, don't worry." She replies watching Kai put on his blazer. "About that, Emma's not going with me."

"What? I thought she was going." Kai arches his eyebrow and stops.

"She was supposed to come but I promised Suho I was going with him to buy the engagement ring today." The blonde replies getting up from bed and walking towards him, she places a kiss on his cheek and walks away.

"So, is he going with you?" Kai asks. "I don't want you to go alone." 

"Yes, sir. Don't worry, Suho's going with me instead." 

Kai relaxed his shoulders and shook his head. He gives a quick kiss on the blonde's lips and leaves the house. The girl took her hands to her back with a deep sigh, it was not easy to deal with the back pain, she walked to the closet taking off her clothes and got ready to take a bath.

Suho took Emma to work and after saying goodbye, went to Anneliese and Kai's house, where he parked his car and texted the blonde. After a few minutes, the girl appears; she looks around until she sees his car parked, she walks to the car opening the door and getting in. Suho greeted her and drove to the clinic, guided by Anneliese since he had never been there before. 

When they arrived, they sent the girl into the office and Suho went in with her. She was sitting waiting for the doctor, while Suho looked around, seeing a bunch of toys, pictures of babies, tables full of numbers and other things. The blonde looked back, seeing Suho walking in circles. 

"Are you nervous about the proposal, or do you want one of those?" Anneliese laughs pointing to the photo in front of Suho, he looks at her and again at the photo.
