The only reason you were wasting your time at this bar was because of Kristoff. He had a shift today but couldn't make it because he had a date with his girlfriend, Anna.
He had asked you because you had some experience with alcohol since your father was an alcoholic. You thanked him for that comment.
You hold in a sigh as someone asks you for a margarita.
"Coming right up," you say. As you look up, you see a gorgeous platinum blonde look at you tiredly.
You hastily make the drink and hand it to her. She sits on the barstool, downs it, and asks for another one.
She keeps asking you for drinks, and you finally look up and study her properly. You saw that her eyes were red, her hair beautiful but dishevelled, and she was only looking at the table.
"Are you-"
"Hey, bartender. Get me some whiskey," you were interrupted by a loud, skinny and already drunk man slamming down a huge mug for you to fill.
You raise your eyes, but fill the glass.
"What's a pretty girl like you doing here," the man asks the blonde. When she doesn't answer he lightly tugs on her braid with his filthy hands.
"Hey, do you talk," the man shouts in her ear. She winces but picks up her drink.
"Why don't you back off," you say politely, but firmly.
"What are you gonna do to me," the man sneers at you.
You walk around the counter and stand in front of him, looking as intimidating as you could which was pretty easy since you went to the gym every other day.
"Stay around here and you'll find out," you say, your eyes glinting dangerously. The man, seeing that you were serious, stumbles off to bother another girl.
You walk behind the counter and pour another customer some tequila. When no one was looking you poured a glass for yourself.
"Thanks," the blonde murmurs.
"No problem, but what's your name," you ask.
"Elsa," she says quietly. Pretty name.
"But really, what is a pretty girl like you doing in a place like this," you ask her, taking a sip of your drink. You make someone a martini.
"Well what's someone like you pouring drinks for a place like this" Elsa tries to say harshly, but the alcohol was slowing her voice.
"Oh, so she's observant too. My friend Kristoff couldn't make this shift because he had a date with his girlfriend, so I'm here instead of him because he gets paid pretty well," you explain.
"You're not a bad bartender. And you're kinda pretty. Can you get me some vodka," Elsa asks.
You hesitate, but pour her a glass. When she asks for another one, you refuse.
"You shouldn't be drinking so much," you say gently.
"It shouldn't matter to you," she snaps.
"I just don't want you to get hurt," you say. Elsa gets up and storms out the door, staggering a bit. You look at the clock - five minutes to 11:30. Your shift was almost done anyway.
You walk after Elsa into the parking lot, and see her surrounded by a bunch of guys. They were leaning in and trying to kiss her, and she was having troubles pushing her away.
You walk up to Elsa as casually as you could, and wrap one arm around her waist.
"Hey, babe," you say, and kiss the corner of her mouth. In the dark, the guys wouldn't know you didn't kiss her properly.
"Who are these guys," you ask cheerfully.
"We were just leaving," one of them snarls, and the group walks into the bar.
"I'm taking you home, where's your car," you ask. Elsa points out a blue BMW and hands you her keys.
You open the door for her and she gets in. You go on the other side and start the car.
"You kissed me," she says.
"I actually kissed the edge of your mouth," you reply, driving out of the parking lot.
When you reached a red light, Elsa leans over and kisses you. You wanted so bad to kiss her back, but she was drunk.
You lightly push her away and she whines, "So you can get a kiss but I can't?"
"What's your address," you ignore her.
"I'm not telling you until you kiss me," Elsa giggles. The alcohol was really getting to her. You shouldn't have given her so much.
You sigh, and kiss Elsa's cheek, "I kissed you."
Elsa pouts, but tells you her address. You reach her driveway in three minutes and help her out of the car.
When you let go of her arm, she falls. You catch her and put your arm around her waist. You tell Elsa to lean on you, which she gladly does.
You open the door and place the keys on a nearby table. You take off your shoes and lead Elsa to the couch where she collapses.
"Do you have any juice," you ask her.
"In the kitchen," Elsa mumbles. You walked around before finding the kitchen. You pour her a glass of juice which would help her liver flush out the alcohol.
You shake the unconscious girl on the couch.
"Here, drink this," you say.
She drinks half the glass before saying, "This isn't a margarita."
"No, it's not. You need to drink this and then get some rest. You're going to have a massive hangover in the morning," you say.
Elsa shrugs and then drinks the rest, "I wish I was dating you instead of Hans." You hear the sadness in her voice, and wonder if Hans was the reason she was in the bar.
"Where are you going to sleep," you ask, sitting down the the couch a good two feet away from her.
"Right here," she says, and moves to lean on you. "Can you stay with me?"
You didn't have the heart or strength to say no. You put your arm around her shoulders and shift into a more comfortable position for you and Elsa.
She's out in a minute, and you stroke her platinum blonde hair.
"Goodnight Elsa."
