Chapter 36: Sup

Marshall's POV

No, I can't be.
That's impossible...

I do think about her...well, of course I would, everybody thinks about someone in their lives, doesn't mean they're in love with 'em-

But I think about her differently... Because she's my friend!!-

A friend wouldn't think how delicious their friend's lips are... Friendly kiss?-

Just admit it, Lee. You like her... Damn it.

This wasn't cool. A vampire king who's a son of a demon, Aaa's bad boy, in love with Fionna the human, a boom boom baby, a mortal and Aaa's heroine, the good girl.

Ughr!! It's messing up my head!!

Okay, right now, I'm pretending to be asleep. I don't really wanna go out and do that silly quest yet.

But while I was pretending, Fionna's lips suddenly came into my mind then it was her comforting cowards which lead me to thinking about how I'm in love with her-
Agh, stop it, Marshall!! You're being so corny!

"Marshall?" I felt light taps on my back. Fionna. "W-what?!!" I yelled accidentally. I started to fluster.
Ever since I realised, I've gotten more blushy, corny and weird. That's not how I'm supposed to act like.
I'm cool, awesome and calm. Not some blushy weird guy.

"Woah, dude. Don't yell, you'll wake up Leaf Prince and his family." She shushed me.
"Why'd you wake me if everyone's asleep?" I asked, raising a brow.

"I already knew you were awake. You kept squealing and grunting like a pig." I was?!
"Yeah, right. Shut up!" I rolled my eyes at her, she giggled.

"C'mon, Marshy! I want to show you a place here in the Leaf Kingdom!" Fionna said, pulling my arm.
"Fine, okay. But only if you say you like to pee on potatoes."

"I like to pee on potatoes!!" She laughed. I laughed. We laughed. "Okay, let's go."

We were in a place full of really big mushrooms. I'm sure I had a poker face on.

Fi was bouncing on top of one mushroom to another and I couldn't help but laugh. "This looks so wrong..." I murmured. "Whoo! C'mon, bro! It's math!!" I chuckled then joined her.

I jumped on a mushroom and turned from one side to another to look for Fi. "Fionna?"

I jumped onto a another mushroom. "Fi-"
"MARSHALL, OUT OF THE WAY!!" I looked up and saw her flying down oh-so-not-gracefully, more like a meteor making its way to destruct the whole world. "Lump-"

BAM! BUMP!!

Agh..my whole body hurts. My eyes were shut. I did not dare to open them. "Marshall Lee!" I felt pats on my cheeks.

I opened my eyes to see Fionna on top of me. Again, I shut my eyes. "Marshall Lee, I know you're not dead!" No no, I'm not going to open my eyes.

I sat up (even though it hurts), Fionna on my lap with a leg on each side of my bod, spread out. "Fionna, please get off."
"What?" She asked.
I pushed her off gently. I looked down, rubbing the back of my neck. "I'm gonna go back.."

Fionna's POV

"I'm gonna go back.."
He left me, questioning myself what I did wrong. What did I do?

I laid on the mushroom, on my back. "He's been acting weird since this morning..." I said to myself quietly.

"Maybe there's something wrong and he isn't telling me." Did something happen while he was watching documentaries? Did his favorite animal die?
I sighed. I'll ask him later.

I got back to our room in Leaf Prince's castle. "Marshall, you there?" I looked from left to right. "Marsh-"

A hand covered my mouth and an arm was wrapped around my waist.

I think I was being kidnapped. I elbowed the kidnapper and pulled their arm up and forward to throw them onto the carpeted floor. I stepped on their chest and rested my elbow on my knee.

"Sup." I greeted.
