I woke up to an empty tent but, I knew he was in there at one point due to my clothes laying next to me. Shane was good at setting out clothes for me to wear the next day, he did it for himself everyday as well. I quickly got dressed and left the tent. I noticed Maggie handing Glenn a basket of food. I looked around for anything interesting. I saw Dale and figured I'd go talk to him.
"Dale!" I called as I jogged over to him. "Good morning."
"Morning, what's up?" Dale smiled at me. I looked behind me, I saw mom and she looked as though she was about to puke.
"That is what's up." I sighed. "Someone's got to know about that."
"Ask her, shes your mother." Dale pointed out and I nodded.
"She isn't huge on even acknowledging my existence." I shrugged. "The whole Shane and I thing has gotten to her."
"You two are the power couple around here." T-Dog interjected in the conversation.
"I agree." Dale nodded at me.
"Power couple?" I smiled at my own words, the thought of us being the top of the line just made me happy.
"Yeah, the group looks up to you two. We look up to Rick and Lori, but there's something different when it comes to y'all." T-dog tapped his chin. Just about the same time Glenn walked up with a basket.
"What's up Glenn?" I smiled at him.
"Nothing. Nothings up why?" Glenn held out the basket begging for us to be quicker. Each of us grabbed a peach and were confused. Glenn quickly rushed away.
"What am I missing?" Dale looked at me and T-Dog.
"He knows something." I smiled a bit and pointed at them the direction he was going. Straight to my mom. They talked about something serious. "Oh he definitely knows something." I smiled at the drama. I heard Shane whistle and yell out.
"Hey peach man!" Shane's voice caught my attention. I walked over to Glenn and smiled as he walked to the boys.
"Hi, y/n." Glenn's voice was awkward and timid.
"You know something, tell me." I smiled as I walked alongside him.
"What?" Glenn seemed panicked. "I- no- y/n- nothing. I know nothing." Glenn walked up to the truck. He looked at dad and then Shane holding the basket he leaned back and peered at mom who was watching him. I grinned and stood next to Shane.
"I'll figure it out Glenn. Just give me 'till the end of the day." I smiled while Glenn handed Shane the binoculars on his shoulder and rushed off. "Hi." I kissed Shane on the cheek.
"Hi," He grabbed my waist and hugged me from behind. I smiled and laid my back into him.
"We'd like to join you for fun trainin' today." Beth smiled at me and I waved. She waved slightly back.
"Hershel's been very clear, I can't involve any of you in what we do without his okay." Dad had to turn them down.
"He doesn't like it, but he consented." Beth's eyes flickered from Dad to me then to Shane.
"Otis was the only one who knew guns. Now he's gone, gotta learn to protect ourselves. Her father saw the sense in that." Patrica smiled and fumbled with her hands.
"No offense, but we'll have to ask Hershel ourselves." I smiled at Beth who was relived that I was the one to speak. "Don't wanna cause any-" I began to speak and Shane whispered in my ear I nodded and smiled. "Don't wanna cause any problems." Beth and Patricia nodded and I walked away with Shane waving again at Beth.
