It's another boring day going to school and learning. I don't understand why we have to go to school anyways. I already know most of this stuff. The rest, why do we need to know it? How does all of this information help us in the future? I'm a quick learner and it also helps that my dad is the boss of a well known company. He's training me to one day take over the company. Well...when he's home. My parents are always busy working. My mom is one of the few doctors in our small town so that keeps her busy. My dad travels for work so he is barely home. They wanted us to live in a small town so I could go to school without paparazzi following me around or kids becoming my friend because my dad is well known. I never understood why my mom works when my dad makes more then enough money for us. I guess she just never wanted to stay at home not doing much until I get back home. It would get tiring being home alone when your husband is out of town more then he's ever home. She would have had me when I was younger but now as I have gotten older I'm barely home because I go out partying or have fun hanging out with friends. Would life have been different if I had a stay at home parent? Maybe I wouldn't be how I am constantly going out with friends so I wasn't home alone.

I get up and out of bed when my alarm goes off. I turn it off then head over to my bathroom, turning the shower on. Getting ready for another boring school day. What's going to happen today? Nothing new rarely happens because it's a small town. Why live in a small town instead of the city? Who cares if we get followed by paparazzi. Living in the city there is more options on what to do then there is here. I take my shorts and underwear off before stepping into the shower. Yes, I sleep half naked, and no, it doesn't bother me. I finished showering and then walk back into my room, grab my clothes, and put them on. I run a brush through my hair then open my bedroom door and go downstairs. There's a note on the counter that says "I had to go to work. See you after school. Love mom."
I role my eyes and open the fridge. I get some eggs and bacon out. I get the pans needed and then start making breakfast. I'm used to my parents barely being home. That's why I know how to cook. I had to learn to be independent otherwise I would probably just be eating sandwiches and snacks for meals instead of food. I can cook more then just eggs and bacon but I'm not really a breakfast person so I eat small meals. Also why would I want to make big meals when most the time I'm only feeding myself? I finish making my simple breakfast and clean up before I sit down at the breakfast bar to eat. I scroll through my phone looking at social media, liking different people's posts and commenting here and there. There isn't much anyone posts. It's here's my outfit for the day. Did you hear this gossip or rumor? look at me and my cute boyfriend or girlfriend. On my way to school. Again. It's the same boring stuff every day. Also did I mention teens throw parties all the time but don't get in trouble? That's because it's a small town so parents know but as long as no one is getting hurt they don't care. As long as we are getting good grades in school and staying out of trouble parents let their kids do whatever they want. I guess it's their way to make living in a small town at least a little better.

I lost track of time scrolling through social media and I check the time. I need to get moving if I want to get to school at a good time. I quickly finish eating, wash my plate, then grab my car keys. I put my shoes on, grab my backpack, open the front door, close and lock it, then head to my car. It's parked on the driveway. I probably don't need to lock the house door because crime is very low here but I do it anyways. I see other teenagers from nearby houses go to their cars and get in. My next door neighbor, Zoe Arnolds smiles at me before getting into her car. I role my eyes as I get into my car and turn it on. She always tries to flirt with me. I don't understand why because I've told her plenty of times I'm not interested. All the girls are crazy about me and I don't understand why. I've dated a few girls but I'm not interested in a long term relationship. I know my father is probably planning on setting me up with one of his business partners daughters. Besides why would I want to date anyone? It's a boring small town with the same few things to do. It gets tiring. I'd rather save dating for when I can finally leave this small town.
