Morgan and I stayed up as long as possible after Matthew left building the fence until the sun went down. It was so tiring. Now that it's Tuesday I have to go to school. Ugh. I hate school. And Morgan needs my help but I can't skip school. Mason is doing a lot better today before I left to go to school but he's still exhausted. Morgan told me she's going to work on inventory. Writing down what all we have. Then she's going to walk around the private property, trying to see how big it is and buy more supplies. She's also stuck feeding all of the wolves and helping Mason on her own until after school. I feel bad she's stuck doing it all but there's nothing I can do about it.

I walk into school and I'm exhausted. I head straight to my first period class and lay my head down on my desk. My teacher asks "Are you alright? You're usually one of the last kids into class."
I tell her with my head still down "I had a long night. I stayed up for a long time."
After that she leaves me alone. I'm a good student so my teachers don't care if I sleep through class.

Throughout the school day I'm taking naps during class. I wake up, take notes, then fall back asleep. The only class I'll have to stay awake for the whole time is gym.

I head to lunch and get my food before sitting down at a table with Matthew and Elizabeth. As the passing period goes on there's only us sitting at the table. Which is very surprising. I ask Matthew "What happened to being the social butterfly? And trouble maker?"
He shrugs and tells me "I'm not being as social anymore. And people aren't very obsessed with me because I left the party early. They also think I'm hanging out with weird kids now a days. What happened to you?"
"Let's see...I spent my whole day taking care of Mason and going to get supplies...then building a fence. Morgan and I stayed up as late as possible building it. It's a lot of work."
Elizabeth tells me "I wish I could go over and help."
I tell her "It's fine. It's not fun."
Matthew tells me "My dad leaves tomorrow while I'm at school so I should be able to go over tomorrow after school and help."
"If you really want to. It's a lot of working and going very slowly. It's a huge property too."
"Maybe I can start building on the other side while you and Morgan continue the side you've been working on. Then when Mason is feeling better he can help me with my side. That could make it go a little faster."
Elizabeth asks "How much is this costing?"
"A lot. Way more then what we would want to spend. But we don't have Liam around. He's a lawyer so he knows how to make better deals. We are just buying supplies to build it as fast as possible."
I stop talking and start eating. After I finish eating I put my head down on the table. It's dirty but I don't care. I'm so tired. I wish coffee actually worked for me.

I get woken up when the lunch bell rings. I lift my head up and see kids starting to get up and walk to there next class. Matthew asks me "You good?"
"Yeah...just tired. I'm manage."
I grab my backpack, slide it on, then slowly get up. They threw me trash away for me. I start walking to my next class and look at my phone. The notifications were going off like crazy. Some from my parents about college stuff, others from various friends. I ignore those. I'm more interested in what Morgan sent me. I look at my missed messages from her. She said
Guess who's awake? 🙂
It's Mason!
He's doing better!
Hello?
Zoe?
You gonna answer?
Oh yeah! You're still at school. Maybe busy? I don't know. I forgot.
I built more of the fence by myself! I actually did it correctly!
Mason's helping some. Not too much. He's not being stubborn for once. He's taking it easy. Giving me the nails or mixing cement. Whatever else too. He's taking it easy. Also helping feed the dog. 😉
You gonna answer? You've got to have a break sometime to answer.
Hello?
Zoe?
Zoe?
Zoe?
Zoe!
I know you can answer!
Answer!
Zoe! Zoe! Zoe! Zoe! Zoe!
After all those messages she repeatedly spammed my name in texts. I quickly respond sorry. I've been busy with school work. I'll text ya later.

After schools over I meet up with Elizabeth and Matthew by my car. Elizabeth tells us "I'll keep you guys updated on what my dad's doing. Hopefully he'll let me leave the house soon."
Matthew tells us "After my dad leaves I can help out a lot more."
I ask him "Are you ever going to tell him you don't want his job?"
"I..I was actually going to tell him today."
"Really?"
"Yeah. He will probably hate me for saying that and more but...I don't care anymore. It's not like he's ever home to watch me grow up. So he shouldn't get to choose what I do."
Elizabeth asks "What will he say to that?"
"He's gonna argue with me but I don't care. He can't control me when I graduate high school next year."
He's right his dad can't control him once he graduates but if his parents still live in this small town and Matthew moves in with us then they would want to come over to see him. That could reveal our secret. I guess it's a good thing that's not for another year. Before we can say anything else my phone starts ringing. I answer it. Before I can say anything Morgan yells me "Zoe!"
I ask her "What?"
"We need more meat! It's almost gone!"
"What do you mean it's almost gone? What?"
"You know! There's so many wolves that are here. In the basement and main floor they are all eating it! And there's so many baby wolves! If we don't get more meat they'll get more agressive."
"Ok, ok. I'll go buy more meat. Text me what kind and I'll buy it."
"But you don't have too much cash with you."
"I know but I can still use my money to buy more meat."
"But.."
"Morgan."
"Yeah?"
"Don't worry about it. I make plenty of cash from working at the store. And I'll be living at the house soon enough anyways."
"If you say so."
"Are you gonna let me get off the phone so I can go buy more meat?"
"Oh...yeah!"
"You good now?"
"Mason's awake!"
"I know. I read your texts."
"Sorry about that! I didn't mean to spam you! It's just..."
"It's fine. It didn't bother me. I'm guessing you just needed someone to talk to...or text."
"Yeah."
"Can I go now? I'll see you soon."
"Yeah. Bye."
"Bye."
I get off the phone and Matthew asks "What was that about?"
"I need to go buy more meat. Using all the cash I have with me."
"You can take my money."
"Are you sure?"
He pulls his wallet out and opens it. It's filled with cash. I look at him shocked. I ask "Why do you have so much cash?"
"Because my dad's rich. I can go with you to make it less suspicious. I'm known...or at least have been known as a social butterfly that loves parties. I buy a lot of food and drinks from the stores so they don't judge me buying a huge quantity of something. After that I'll head home."
"Thanks Matthew."
"No problem."
Elizabeth looks at her phone then at us. She tells us "I have to go. My dad's home and he just texted why I'm not home yet."
She rolls her eyes then tells us "I'll talk with you guys later."
She heads over to her car then leaves. Matthew and I take our cars and drive to the store. Morgan texted me the kinds of meat the wolves will like. We buy a huge quantity and they don't judge us. Matthew was right about them being used to him buying mass quantities of food. We did buy some other food and drinks too to make it look less suspicious. The workers help us load my car up then they head back inside. Matthew tells me "I gotta go now."
I tell him "Thanks for helping me."
"No problem. If you need to buy meat again just tell me and I'll help."
He heads to his car then leaves. I get into my car and drive back to the pack house.

When I get back to the pack house Morgan and Mason are building the fence. They've gotten a good amount done so far. They started building the fence on both sides of the driveway. It looks good so far. I see them both walk over to me from a little ways in the woods. Morgan smiles as I roll down my window. She aks me "You got the meat?"
"Yep. And some other food and drinks too."
Mason asks "How did you get so much?"
"Matthew went with me to the store real quick. They don't care when he buys a huge quantity of something because he does that a lot for parties."
Mason says "I'll come help you unload and then start cutting the meat. You can do homework or help Morgan bus the fence."
Morgan says "I'll go back to building. We've got a good amount done so far. We stopped for a while because it started snowing but then it stopped."
Mason gets in the car with me and I continue driving until I get to the house. We open the front door then start unloading everything into the kitchen. When we've unloaded everything Mason tells me "I'll cut up the meat and put everything away."
I tell him "I'll go help Morgan."
"What about your homework?"
"It won't kill me if I don't turn it in for a day."
I leave the house and walk down the driveway. I follow the fence until I finally see Morgan. She smiles when she sees me. She asks "Are you ready to spend hours building the fence again?"
"Not really but we don't have much of a choice."
We start building the fence. After Mason cut all the meat up, filled bags up with it, fed the wolves some, then out everything away, he comes and helps us. He's still taking it easy. He's not doing any heavy lifting but he's helping hand us the nails and mix the cement. I'm gonna be exhausted tomorrow at school. Maybe I can ditch and help here? But if I do my parents will get upset. I guess I'll have to deal with being exhausted at school again.
