Seong Jaehwa's POV
"Jae wake up." I could hear Joshua oppa's voice.
I slowly got up still feeling tired. My body feels heavy and I feel like fainting at any moment.
"Hey, are you okay?" He asked as soon as he saw me not feeling well and placed the back of his hand on my forehead.
"Jae, we'll have to cancel our plans today. You're burning." I pouted when he said cancel.
"I know I'm hot." I joked then I suddenly coughed.
"Stop joking. Stay in bed. I'll go make you breakfast and get some medicine." He said as he stand up and left the room.
Hong Jisoo's POV
Chan is now walking up to me.
"Is noona not up yet?" He asked.
"Noona is sick." I sadly said.
"Too bad I wanna hang out with her today." He pouted.
"Maybe next time," I said as I placed the food and the medicine on the tray.
"How about we eat with noona in her room? How does that sound?" I asked him and vigorously nodded and took his plates running towards Jaehwa's room.
"Be careful Chan!" I shouted but knowing how Chan loves to be with his cousin the whole time, he would ignore my warnings.
I slowly went upstairs and when I opened Jaehwa's room, I could see her trying to play with Chan.
"Yah! Lee Chan, noona is sick remember." I reminded him and he nodded.
"I wouldn't mind playing with him," Jaehwa said.
"Jae, you're sick. You need to rest. Here is your breakfast and make sure to drink your medicine right after eating." I said and she nodded.
"It's cute how you act like Chan's your biological brother." She complimented.
Chan is not my brother. It just happened the Chan and I became friends due to some similarities we have. But I moved to LA with my family for something important leaving them here and when I got back, I was lucky that it was near Jaehwa's birthday so I can surprise her. Chan was the first person I informed then.
After eating, I took all the dishes and brought them down to the kitchen to wash them.
"Hyung, I can wash the dishes. You take care of noona." Chan offered and pushed me out of the way making me chuckle.
"Is everything alright?" I asked as I entered her room and shook her head.
"We can still catch some things up you know." I tried to cheer her up.
Seong Jaehwa's POV
When the two left the room, I just remembered that no one was handling the company at the moment since my parents are on a business trip and I'm sick, for sure Joshua oppa wouldn't allow me to go to work. Knowing how caring and protective he is over me.
I dialed Minhee's number telling her the reason for her absence.
On call~
Minhee: Jaehwa you called early. What's up?
Me: I can't come to the office today. If anything happens, approach Mr. Han he knows what to do.
Minhee: Oh okay. Why? Are you alright? You sound sick.
Me: I'm fine and yes I am sick. Joshua oppa and Chan is taking care of me right now.
Minhee: Do you want me to tell the others?
Me: No, I don't want them to come barging into my house cause they're worried for my health.
Minhee: Okay. Okay. I'll keep it a secret to them. But for sure Taehyung would possibly come by later.
I became silent.
Taehyung.
Minhee: Hello? Jaehwa you're still there?
Me: If he comes over, don't tell him I'm sick. Tell him that I'm out and doing something important.
Minhee: Okay. Get well soon. Bye!
Me: Thanks! Bye!
Call ended~
"Is everything alright?" Joshua oppa suddenly came inside my room, and I shook my head to his question.
"We can still catch some things up you know." Joshua oppa tried to cheer me up.
He sat down beside me.
"Tell me what happened when I was gone for a long time." He said and I nodded.
I ended up telling him everything from top to bottom. To how Taehyung bullies her before and how she got into an accident causing her to be in a coma for 10 months and haven't graduated with the others because of that and how I remembered everything from the past that I have forgotten. Leaving out something related to feelings.
"Then tell me about Taehyung's feelings? Did he confess?" He asked out of nowhere.
"What?"
"Don't lie to me Jaehwa. I can notice everything." What he said is true. Joshua oppa is such an observant person and it's no use to lie to him.
I sighed.
"He did. When we were still in kindergarten, when I was in a coma and when I woke up from the coma." I answered shortly.
"Do you have feelings for him?" The question caught me off guard.
Do I like him?
I feel weirdly happy with him and he never fails to make me happy. I like how he annoys me over small things and I also like how he gets serious with his feelings for her. That's when I know, I liked him.
I shyly nodded my head.
"No need to be shy Jae. I already warned him that if ever you two end up together in the future and if he hurts you, I won't hesitate to punch him." He said making me chuckle at how protective he is.
"Or I could even bring you back to LA with me and he will have trouble seeing you." He joked.
"But I'm serious about it Jae." He suddenly turned serious.
"I don't want him to hurt you." He said while giving me a comforting hug which I gladly accept.
My door suddenly opened to see a pouting Lee Chan.
"I want to hug noona too." He whined.
"Lee Chan, how old are you? You act like you're seven when you're not." I chuckled at my cousin's cuteness.
"Come to noona," I said as I opened my arms for him to hug me.
Joshua oppa joined us and we grouped hug.
