𝗦𝗛𝗔𝗪𝗡'𝗦 𝗣𝗢𝗩

I'm so fucking happy we made up. I couldn't lose her. I just couldn't—can't.
She fell asleep in my arms last night, so I put her to bed next to Bear.
I need to talk to Noah about the whole thing. Noah! Shit. I need to say sorry.

A sound catches my attention. An alarm. What?

I get out of my bedroom to follow the sound but it stopped. Two seconds later, Sophia gets out of Bear's room.

"Good morning." She says, smiling.

"Good morning." I smile widely. She's in a good mood. She's talking to me. Very good.

She goes to the kitchen and I follow her. I put a coffee put.

"Oh yeah. Thanks. I need some caffeine."

"No problem."

She takes a seat at the table and I sit across from her.

"So. You woke up a little too early? It's 6 and Bear doesn't wake up until 6:30."

"Yeah. I wanted to talk to you."

"Oh."

"I wanted to apologize. I think I overreacted."

"It's okay. It was a dick move from me."

"Still. I'm sorry I overreacted. Especially that I rejected you."

Wow. Rejected you. It feels bad.

"Sorry. This came out bad. Let me correct myself. Especially that I said I had no feelings for you. I didn't have the right to be mad."

"So you're not mad anymore?"

"No. We made up last night. And also, it's none of my business. I don't care. You can be with whoever you want to be with. I really don't care."

I nod. Her words sting. But okay, I'll take what I can get.

"Thank you." I tell her.

"No worries, really. And you can absolutely talk to me about Charlotte. How long?"

What? She actually thinks I'm dating Charlotte.

I laugh.

"What's so funny?"

"You think I'm dating Charlotte?" I say, pouring two cups of coffee.

"You were literally making out with her."

"Yes, but it doesn't mean I'm dating her. I like 𝘺𝘰𝘶, not her."

Shit. I shouldn't have said this.

"Sorry. This is bad. I shouldn't have said this. We're friends."

She nods. "It's fine."

I put a creamer and two cubes of sugar in her cup and give it to her.

"Thank you. Can you give me a crea—. Oh."

"Already there." I take a seat.

"Thanks a lot."

"No problem. Are you okay?"

"Why wouldn't I be?"

"You know what I mean."

"I'm fine." She sighs. "Can we talk about something else?"

"Sure."

"So. Have you talked to Noah?"

"No. He's mad at me."

"And he gets to be. You treated him really badly, Shawn. Your best friend. For a girl." She says, shaking her head.
