"Hey, man." Noah says, sounding all sleepy. The bastard just woke up. He's been sleeping for hours, while I couldn't sleep for a minute. I can't sleep on planes; the chairs are uncomfortable.

"Hey. Slept well?"

"Not the best, but good."

"Good for you."

"You're smiling."

"So?"

"No. You're grinning. What's up?"

"Nothing." I shrug.

"You're lying."

"Mr. Mendes. Would you like anything now?" The annoying Nancy asks me. Again.

"No, thank you." I say, the exact same time Noah says, "I'd like one of those meals you gave us earlier."

"Of course." She nods.

She gives Noah a tray full of food and leaves.

"So, what is making you that smiley?"

"I'm not saying."

"So there is something."

"Yes. And I won't tell you until I do something first."

"Sounds....interesting?"

"Very. You have no idea."

"Ass. You can't just tell me that it's very interesting without actually telling me what it is."

"You'll have to be patient, then." I shrug and smile wickedly.

"Fucking asshole." And he starts eating.

I should get a phone call or even a text from Shawn any minute now.

Bear refused to go to bed, waiting for his dad to call. So am I, baby, so am I. I'm waiting for your dad to call, on the edge of my seat.

Aaliyah is expecting something from Noah, as well.

Finally! Finally! I get a text message from Shawn.

"Just landed. Miss me?"

You have no idea, Shawn. No fucking idea.

Just as I'm about to text him back, I get a phone call from him.

"Oh, my God. I was so worried." I say.

"Hi to you, too."

"Oh, sorry, baby."

"How have you been for the last—how many hours—10 hours?"

"On the edge of my seat, and that's the least I could say about it. How have you been?"

"Bored."

I hear Aaliyah's phone ring. Must be Noah. I look over at her; she's smiling widely while speaking to whoever the hell she's speaking to. Yup, definitely Noah.

"Spain is lucky to have you."

"No. Spain is very unlucky because it doesn't have you."

He always knows what to say. Damn.

"I miss you, Shawn."

"Me, too, baby. Where's Bear?"

"Right here. He's actually waiting on me to give him the phone. Here." I give Bear the phone.
